"Are you going?" Mrs. Lo asked and I shrugged.

The day passed as a blur, but I was happy that I had a session. "I don't know," I told her and she got up and sat beside me.

"I think it'll do some good, closure wise." "They don't deserve that," I shook my head, "they're the reason why he did it." "I'm sure they know that," she touched my shoulder, "but if not for them, do it for him. Give him that closure." "I don't think I can." "This can benefit you both."

"I'll think about it," I sighed, "I need to tell you something." "That's what I'm here for."

"I had sex last night," I started, "with the guy I've been seeing." "First time?" she asked and I nodded, biting my lip. "How was it?" she asked, "personally I mean." "I feel normal, I guess. People make such a hype about a woman's first time and I guess I just didn't see myself as eventually becoming sexually active." "Did you tell your mom?" she asked and I shook my head. "Oh, no," I blushed and she smiled. "If you're taking the next step in your relationship..." "We're not dating," I shook my head, interrupting her and she shrugged. "Rather if it's casual sex or not, you need to become responsible. Relying on condoms only isn't safe enough, you need to talk to your mom about contraceptives."

"Fine, she's pretty understanding." "This is a big deal, though," she patted my hands, "just please be careful."

"Thank you," I stood and noticed our time was over. "I forgot to ask," she smiled at me, "how was the writing club?" she asked and I shrugged. "It was cool, I met a few people and they seem nice," I answered and she sighed. "I can't wait until you won't need me anymore, but I will be sad when that day comes."

"Thank you," I waved at her and left the building.

"Hey therapy buddy," Darian was waiting for me at the door, "need a ride home?" "Hey," I perked up. I guess seeing him was going to be different now.

"No," I shook my head, "I'm not going home, I mean." "Oh?" he questioned and I pulled out my phone and showed him the text. "Oh, this is Bennie's mom?" he asked and I nodded. "Unfortunately." "You know you can tell these people to fuck off, right?" he looked annoyed and I smiled at him.

"I know," I sighed, "but this is a part of closure I need." "I understand," he pulled me into a hug, "just call me if you need me. I can drop you off there."

"Please," I kissed him.

I texted my mom my whereabouts and she texted me a angel emoji. I saved my phone and turned to Darian.

"Good luck," he kissed me and I stepped out of his car, waving him off as I turned to their door.

****FLASHBACK****

"I have  nowhere to go," he turned to be and began to sob as I held him. "You have me, you can stay with us for however long you need it, Bennie. I'm so sorry," I cried with him as I texted my mom to come pick us up.

"I can't believe he just kicked me out," he let me go, "this can't be real, Roxie."

He began to bang on the door, screaming his father's name and I tried to pull him away. His knocks turned into punches as tears rolled down his face.

"Bennie, please," I begged, pulling him as hard as I could but it was pointless. He was determined to get their attention.

"If you don't get off my property," his dad opened the door and we froze. "Fuck you, dad," he said, "you will regret this." "I won't have a faggot son," he spat at Bennie as his mom pulled him. "Benjamin, that is enough, please," she begged.
