i don't know how US courtrooms work EXACTLY so this is my attempt.

"I can't believe this is actually happening," I whisper to Lafayette, watching him annoy a menacing Hercules, "I don't even know how to comprehend it." Lafayette looks my way, putting his hands up to my face and kissing my lips. I kiss back, but pull away the the large doors at the left side of the room opens.
Alexander Hamilton, my best and closest friend, walks in. He has handcuffs around his wrists, he looks like shit, and two arguably cute cops walk behind him. They walk him up to a small seat, where he sits and listens. Beside him, Angelica sits with her briefcase.
"She better be a good lawyer." I hear Lafayette mutter. I giggle, resting my head on his shoulder and watching the scence unfold in front of me.
"Order in the court!" The judge calls out. I look at him and roll my eyes, my mouth closing from it's smile to a harsh look.
"I hate him," I whisper to Lafayette, putting a hand on his shirt and clutching it, "I hate him with all my heart."
Lafayette strokes my hair softly, murmuring, "I know, John. Honestly though, we all hate Mr. Reynolds." We both turn back to look at Peggy, who's staring daggers at James Reynolds. Apparently, James stole her girlfriend from her. Peggy says she knows something is up, that Maria wouldn't leave her so suddenly, but at this point it didn't matter.
The judge begins to speak about Alexander's crime, "You went to a bank with your boyfriend and threatend civilians with a gun. You yourself got shoot, but the bullet wound was not enough to kill you. Your boyfriend, Thomas Jefferson, is in prison. Is this correct?"
I see Alex glance back at me, then he nods, "Correct, Sir."
"Thomas Jefferson and Alexander Hamilton had an accomplice," I smile, looking at Lafayette as James speaks, "John Laurens. He was in prison for nearly a week before being bailed out. The bail was two million and five hundred thousand dollars. Is this correct?"
I look up at Lafayette, who's smiling proudly, "My rich boyfriend." I whisper quietly, kissing his cheek.
"I'd do anything for you..." He answers, kissing my temple.
"Correct, Sir." Alex says, this time without looking at me. A witness who Alex didn't shoot begins to speak, presenting his case in an organized manner. Angelica presents her own client's case as well, presenting it perfectly and flawlessly. I beam at her.
Afterwards, the judge looks between the two people and looks to the accused, "You will be sentenced to life. Bail is five millon dollars."
I audibly gasp, looking up at Lafayette, "That's too much."
He kisses my temple again, "I know. I have an idea though."

"We finally made it here. I thought we'd never see the day, after all those shoot-up's. Never got caught until now." I say loudly to Thomas, who's sitting in the cell beside me. The cops who stand at the foot of the hallway continue looking foward, like talk of guns and violence doesn't scare them.
I want to shoot them badly.
"Never thought I'd see the day..." Thomas agrees, "You were so nervous that day, too! It was so adorable, but it kind of blew our cover."
I cross my arms, pouting, "You had never given me a real gun before! I was nervous and I had a good reason."
He snorts, "We should have done training first. But it's okay, baby. You did perfect."
I smile, looking behind me at the sound of noise. The two cops shuffle up to our cells, placing handcuffs on us from behind. I don't say anything to them, but I do what they ask like an obedient servent.
"You have a visitor." One of them says to Thomas, leading him out. The cop holding me follows him, holding me as well. We make it across the prison and courtyard until arriving in a stone room. The room has phones lined up and windows with chairs. I'm escorted to one and Thomas is escorted to another.
"Lafayette!" I hear him mutter quite loudly under his breath.
"John." I say in a monotone voice, not even caring if the cops heard.
I sit down on the hard steel stool and pick up the phone. John smiles widely at me, making a big promise as soon as I get on the line, "Alex! You're back. Don't worry, Lafayette and I will get you out of that grubby cell of your's soon. Then we can go back to shooting."
I scoff, knowing he wouldn't lie to me, "You better hurry."
