"Are you okay?" Thomas asked softly, wrapping two arms around my waist as I lay in bed. I screech in pain, pushing his arms off quickly so it doesn't hurt as much, "Hey, you're mean!" He whines, kissing my cheek and turning away. I whine back, talking.

"I'm sore, leave me alone. I want to sleep-"

Thomas shushes me, "Hush, I think I heard something."

I groan, turning to face him slowly. He kisses my lips willingly, "I think I heard rain." I'm up from my sitting position a moment later, looking around fast and desperately. Thomas laughs, "I was just kidding, god."

My hand slowly raises up to hit his chest, but I realize I'm too slow when Thomas is able to pull me into his lap faster than the speed of my hand. Whinning, I lay my head on his shoulder and mumble, "I want to sleep..." Thomas kisses my forehead.

"Go to sleep, love."

"B-But..."

"But what?"

"No rain?"

"No rain. Party cloudy, clear by evening."

"Mmm." I hum, resting my head back on his shoulder. I think Thomas lays down, but I'm too tired to register. I do feel myself get warmer when he throws a blanket over my head and kisses my hair one last time before I find myself falling asleep in his warmth.
