"Monopoly is boring though--" Alex began, taking the small box from John's hands and opening it. He examined the four pieces and scoffed, handing the open box back to the boy.

"Shut up," John snapped, "I only have one game in my closet. And it's Monopoly."

Lafayette rolled his eyes at John, standing up and getting a refill on his water. Meanwhile, John sat the box down on the table of the friend group and begin to take out the pieces. Immediately, four people reached in to grab pieces out of the box.

Alex, Hercules, John, and Angelica.

"Hey!" Lafayatte exclaimed, sitting back down, "I wasn't here. Not fair, I didn't have a chance to chose a piece."

Alex shrugged, waving his hand, "Thomas, Eliza, and Peggy were here and they didn't get a piece. I doubt you'd be fast enough."

Lafayette threw his plastic straw at Alex's head, hitting him square on his hair. Alex took it out before Lafayette could reach for it and threw it out the open window, "Alex!" John yelled, running to the window, "Now I look like I'm littering! Go pick that up right now and go to jail."

"Let's just play the game, oh my god." Alex mumbled. So they began to play, the turns going clockwise. John, Hercules, Alex, and then Angelica.

Halfway through the game, the people who weren't playing began to take sides. Angelica had Eliza and Peggy on her side. Hercules had Lafayette, as did John. Alex had Thomas.

"Alex littered." Eliza commented as Alex bought another hotel for one of his properties. Alex scowled at her.

"Littering isn't a big deal."

Thomas hit the side of his boyfriend's head, glaring, "I didn't teach you that."

Alex rolled his eyes, pushing Thomas's hands off his head, "Right, you never really taught me anything," A few more minutes passed before anyone said anything and then, "Shit, I'm going to jail!" Alex's voice screamed. John raised his eyebrows.

"You should go to jail forever." Angelica coughed out. Behind her, Peggy cocked her head and nodded with an awkward smile dancing acorss her face.

"Alex you're disqualified." John concluded.

"Um, what?"

"You're disqualified for the crime of littering and blaming it on me. Well, at least, I'll get blamed for me."

"It was plastic."

"Litter-er."

Alex sighed heavily, placing his dog Monopoly piece in jail. Triumphantly, Angelica and Peggy smiled at the same time. Thomas patted his boyfriend's head, still not having said anything. Alex turned around to face him, a scowl on his face, "You're studying law. Be a lawyer and get me out of jail."

Thomas ruffled his hair, "Mm, there's no evidence against you. Everyone-- including me --saw you liter."

Alex rolled his eyes, placing down the jail card on the floor next to him, "What will it take to get you to be my lawyer and get me out of jail?"

"Why is this suddenly becoming an entire ordeal? I'm bored, let's keep playing. Alex, shut the hell up." Hercules interjected, saying something meaningful for the time in a while.

"Alex made it a huge ordeal," Thomas answered, pulling Alex up onto the couch with him, "He's a brat."

"Fine! I'll get disqualified," Alex narrowed his eyes, "But I'll be back next Monopoly game!"

"I thought you hated Monopoly because it was boring?" John asked.

"That was yesterday."

"That was like twenty minutes-"

"Shut up."

lol my best friend woke up this morning and couldn't breathe and now she's in the hospital life is great

but like i cry so weirdly. i'll be sad on the inside and let tears fall down my face while i whisper to myself about how useless i am, but the entire time a smile will be on my face. like, i don't like people knowing i'm sad but i do that so much smiling while dying inside is something i do naturally when i cry lmao
