So many years had passed and now that Vivian was finally 25 years old, the preparations for her marriage commenced. Vivian was taught everything so that she would become the perfect wife that Kirito needed. Three days after Vivian turned 25, the Garnettes received a phone call. Kirito was coming to meet her. It was a Friday morning and the preparations to welcome the Hiomi family were in full bloom. All of Vivian's sisters were getting dressed up while Mrs Garnette was arranging the living room.
"Where's Vivian?" She asked Diela.
"Probably still sleeping," Diela replied as she looked into the mirror while brushing her hair.
"What?!" Mrs Garnette kept the mop aside and rushed upstairs to Vivian's room.
It was sweltering like every other German mornings. Mrs Garnette was covered with her most expensive clothes, her makeup and perspire as she walked through the small staircase and opened the door to a cramped room. All the clothes were thrown on the floor and the window was blocked with books. Mrs Garnette shook her head as she kept the books on the table aside and opened the curtains. The sun rays penetrated into the room, filling it with cups of light.
"Vivian!" Mrs Garnette turned towards a small bed "Are you still having a kater?" She picked up the clothes from the floor assuming that they were to be washed.
"The sun is on the head already! Even Delia is up! Get up now! Oh! We're so late! Oh! So late! We have exactly forty minutes! WAKE UP!" Her mother screamed as she rushed down the staircase, shaking up the entire house.
The blanket twirled and and a bright blonde head popped out from above "Kirito's coming!"
Vivian threw the blanket aside and got up. Her blue eyes were open wide. Just last night she was so excited, she couldn't sleep till three in the morning. Now, that excitement had returned. She washed herself, put on a baby pink frock that reached a little beneath her knees, with matching shoes and a pink bow tie on her hair, adorned with roses. Diela stood at her door, "How do I look?" Vivian asked.
"What about make-up?" She asked.
Suddenly, the doorbell rang.
"They're here!" Vivian and Diela said together.
"Oh no! Quickly! Tidy me up!" Vivian sat before her dresser while powdering her face. Diela shook her head and stood before her in her yellow frock, picking up a make-up brush, "Close your eyes,"

Mr and Mrs Hiomi were significantly older now. They drank the tea and cake offered to them by Katrina while looking around at the living room.
"Oh, is this Vivian?" Mrs Hiomi asked.
"I'm Katrina," Katrina smiled.
Emilia filled everyone's glasses of water with a jug, "And you are Vivian?" Mrs Hiomi asked.
"I am Emilia," She laughed.
"Where's Vivian?" Mr Hiomi asked.
"Just getting ready upstairs. Mila, why don't you get Vivian," Mr Garnette asked Mila, who was standing in the corner, staring at all the gifts that the Hiomi family had got for Vivian. She rushed upstairs, "Vivian!"
Vivian turned towards her while Diela was still busy curling her locks, "Are they calling her?"
"Yup. Already mistook Katrina and Emilia for Vivian,"
"How does Kirito look? Describe him to me!" Vivian asked Mila.
"Oh, he is..." Mila looked outside the room to ensure they were alone, "He is so beautiful. His hair is so dark, darker than the woods, and his skin tanned, like well-polished copper. And his eyes are just to die for. Hazel green,"
"Oh my goodness!" Diela and Vivian shook his wrists while giggling.
"I must go see him right away," Diela got up.
"What? No! I am not done yet! Paint my nails!"
"Do it yourself!" Diela ran downstairs.
"Diela!" Vivian ran behind her and both of them peeped inside the living the room through the door's crack. He was right in front of her. Dressed up in a sage green suit, he looked exactly as Mila had described. Smiling as he talked, he was not shy at all! His voice was deep and soothing. He knew German!
