Chapter 23: Kree Blood

I was surrounded by a bright light. However in a few seconds the light diminished, revealing the home of my parents and siblings. I looked around in awe. The place looked just like before I left to become a Jedi.

"Stormy."

I froze upon hearing that voice. Tears filled my eyes as I turned around to see my dad. My lips quivered. "D-dad?"

He nodded. "It's me."

I then saw mom walk out from hallway, making her way towards dad. I stared at them in as awe.

"Vly'Storm." Mom said.

"Ma'dra..." I croaked out.

I then burst out in tears as I pulled them into a tight embrace. I was so happy to see them again.

"Where's Grandma Sincra, Grandma Mangis and Grandpa Boccran?" I asked once I pulled away from the hug.

"They're in a better place, Storm. They are waiting to see you." Mom informed me.

"Can I see them now?" I asked, excited of the thought of seeing them again after so many years.

Mom and dad exchanged a look, both hesitant to speak to me. My face fell. "What is it?"

Dad hesitated. "I'm sorry to tell you this, Stormy...but you can't see them."

"Why not?" I protested.

"Storm listen to us, as much as we'd love for you to join us, you can't yet. You have five beautiful children, a handsome and loving husband, your wonderful siblings and their children, and not to mention your loyal friends, who all care for you." Mom explained. "They all need you, Storm. Your family and friends need you. The galaxies need Storm Odinson."

I nodded, understanding completely well. "Will I see you both again though?"

"One day you will." Dad assured me. "Just know that we're always there with you..."

"In spirit." I said, finishing his sentence with a smile. "I know."

With that my eyes fluttered open. Once I woke up, I found myself in the bed of my room in the playground. I was surrounded by Piecor, R3, Areria, Ahsoka, Hilna, Kina, and Daisy who all patiently waited for me to wake up. They were all relieved to see me awake.

"Mom." Piecor said in relief.

Are you alright?" Ahsoka asked.

"Yeah...what happened?" I inquired.

"After Coulson and I pulled you out of that box filled with quantum energy, you lost consciousness." Kina explained.

"You lost a lot of blood...we feared the worst." Hilna added.

"Luckily, Simmons and Hilna were able to save you." Daisy chimed in.

"Wait...Hilna? You helped Jemma?" I asked, rather surprised. "I didn't know you were a medic."

Hilna shrugged. "I managed to pick up some things from Jemma."

"I'll let Simmons know you're awake." Daisy informed me.
