Chapter 27: Sokovia Accords

"Xai'chath..." I cursed under my breath. My eyes widened at her words. I heard whispers from all around me. I glanced over at Jeffrey to see him also surprised. How in the universe did Nadeer know?! 

The only people from here on Earth who knew were Tony, Daisy, Jeffrey, Phil, May, Mack, Elena, Jemma, Leo...and Radcliffe. I was about to speak into the microphone, when Jeffrey placed a hand on my arm.

"You don't have to answer this." Jeffrey whispered. "We don't know how she got this intel..."

I turned towards Jeffrey before raising an eyebrow. "And what? Lie? What kind of person I be then? This will go out in the news, Jeffrey. I can't lie...not about this."

Jeffrey lowered his gaze, causing me to quickly add. "Sorry Jeffrey, I didn't mean it like that."

Jeffrey waved it off. "It's fine, Storm. Don't worry about it. Go ahead then, tell them."

I flashed him a smile. "Thanks."

I then looked over at Nadeer before speaking into the mic. "Yes, I admit that I'm with Loki...As a matter of fact, I'm married to Loki Odinson, brother of Thor, 'cause that's who he is. I know everyone here knows Loki as the alien who tried to take over Earth, but I can assure you that the Loki I know and married is different."

"And how can you assure us that he won't try to take over Earth again?" The chairman questioned.

Nadeer nodded vigorously. "Yes, just look at what happened in Germany and in New York. Who's to say he won't do it again?"

"You don't know the entire story, senators and Mr. Chairman. Loki was tortured and to a certain extent he was brainwashed as well by an evil being, which is someone unlike anything you've seen. Thor, my sister, Maya, my former apprentice, Hilna, and I stopped the dark elves in Greenwich along with Jane Foster and her team." I clarified. "However what you don't know is that before we fought the dark elves on Earth, we were on Svartalfheim...home of the dark elves. And while there, Loki fought the dark elves with us when we were outnumbered. He also has helped out in my home galaxy on several different occasions when he didn't have to. Kina, Areria, Hilna, and Ahsoka can all attest to that."

"With that being said, I am Storm Odinson, proud wife of Loki Odinson, and proud mother of five children: Frigga, Obi, Stass, Piecor, and Padmé." I announced.

The press went crazy as they snapped photos and furiously wrote down my words. With that, it was Daisy's turn as Nader had no more questions after my response. She was asked multiple questions by the senators, including Senator Nunez from Carolina.

"No, Senator, I understand. Being a party to the Sokovia Accords would be very different from being an undercover S.H.I.E.L.D. agent." Daisy responded.

"Well, you'll answer to a different authority...the public." Senator Nunez informed her.

"Believe me, I've...I've had worse bosses." Daisy commented, causing the senators and press to chuckle.

"Uh, next up is Senator Nadeer." The chairman said.

Here we go again. I glanced over at Daisy, who gave me a reassuring look. I hope Nadeer doesn't pull another stunt...

"Thank you, Mr. Chairperson." Nadeer said before turning to face Daisy. "Agent Johnson, as an Inhuman yourself, do you feel more responsibility to help Inhumans than normal Americans?"

"Well, first of all, Inhumans are normal. Let's be clear about that." Daisy clarified. "But with regard to whom I'll help, I'm here for all Americans. But more often than not, Inhumans are left to fend for themselves with few resources."
