"Hoo! Wow. The legendary Quake. You know, you're much prettier in person." Ruby commented.
"And meaner, so I'd stay where you are." Daisy advised.
"What about me? Do I get no love?" I inquired.
Ruby wore a chilling smile. "Of course...if it isn't the famous Storm Ca'ana, or should I say Storm Odinson. The Avenger and S.H.I.E.L.D Agent who married Loki, the one who invaded Earth. It's funny. I have your posters up on my wall. You're like those heroes that every little girl wants to be when they grow up."
"Looks like you made a wrong turn along the way." Daisy retorted.
I scoffed. "That's an understatement."
"No. I'm just engineered differently. I don't want to be you. I want to beat you...the both of you." Ruby corrected as she wore a wicked smile.
"You can certainly try." Daisy retorted.
Ruby was certainly trained as she dodged Daisy's quake, and kept up with her moves. I joined in, using my Echani vibro-sword as she took out her disk. Our weapons clashed against each other.
"Where's your lightsaber? I thought you were a Jedi?" Ruby mocked.
"I'm a Jedi Master, and unlike you I've got morals." I rebuked as I used all my strength, pushing her back into the snow.
Ruby stumbled as she climbed to her feet. Daisy then tried quaking her again. However Ruby used her disk against her, cutting Daisy's hand. Ruby tried to do the same to me, however I ducked before kicking her stomach. She stumbled back and at the same time, Daisy and I pushed her back with our abilities, which caused Ruby to fly back against a tree before falling to the ground with a thud. She was knocked unconscious.
"I don't think she's getting up from that." Deke commented as he approached us.
"What are you still doing here?" Daisy asked.
"Well, I thought she had you for a sec, but-" Deke began.
"I was with her. Clearly we had it under control." I argued, cutting him off.
At that moment we heard machine guns firing in our direction. Unfortunately one hit Deke. Daisy and I scrambled over to get him. We helped him up to his feet as we rushed over towards the Zephyr. Once we got inside the Zephyr, Phil approached us. Fortunately we were able to fly out and in the air in time. I became frustrated as I couldn't stop Deke's wound from bleeding. "I can't stop the bleeding."
"Grab the hemostatic granules." Daisy urged.
Phil grabbed a first aid kid as Daisy asked for the scissors. Deke groaned as he looked over at Phil looked over at us. "Okay, hold him still."
"That's not a good sign." Deke commented.
Phil then put the hemostatic granules in as Deke let out a yell. I sighed in relief. "It's working."
"This is only a temporary fix. He's gonna need actual medical attention." Phil stated.
"Call ahead to Simmons. Give her a heads-up." Daisy ordered.
"No one's answering." May informed us. "Can you hold on until we make it to the Lighthouse?"
"Just get us there as fast as you can." Daisy advised.
We quickly made our way to the Lighthouse. Once we reached the Lighthouse, we put Deke on a stretcher. Mack, Piper, Hilna, Typho, Allie, and Erol greeted us as we moved his stretcher down the hall.
"Where have you been?" May asked, referring to Mack and the others.
"Get Simmons." Kina urged.
