Chapter 52: Reaching The Surface

At that moment I used the Force, pushing her back as Mack and Phil ran towards us, firing their guns. The Kree warrior we dealt with earlier reached us. As soon as Daisy grabbed Flint, we took off, returning to the room. Once back inside the room, we locked the door.

"Everyone here?" Mack asked.

Phil nodded. "Yeah. We're all accounted for."

"Well, most of me, anyway." Leo commented.

"Mr. and Mrs. Boba Fett will be here any minute." Daisy mentioned.

I chuckled. "I understood a reference here...for once."

Everyone then looked at me, reminding me that we needed to focus as we were still in danger of being caught. I wore a sheepish smile, muttering a sorry.

"So, what do we do now?" Jemma inquired.

"We escape via the trawler." Phil suggested.

"Escape to where?" Deke asked. 

"The surface. All signs have been pointing us there. The Kree won't follow us there, and you don't have to follow us there, either." Phil retorted.

"Hey, man, I already told you that I'm in, to go out with you." Deke insisted.

"No one's getting out of here if they catch us first." Elena argued.

At that moment, a huge rock then moved before being thrown against the door, earning our attention. We all turned to Flint. "Less arguing, more figuring out what the hell we're gonna do."

"Well, for starters. Let's barricade the door." I suggested. "It'll take them time to get in."

With that Flint used his powers to barricade the door with rocks. As soon as he finished, Phil turned towards us. "That ought to buy us some time."

At that moment, there was a hole that blew up on the wall. I mentally groaned. Really? 

"Or not." Phil replied.

Mack then turned around to face Flint, scolding him. "I thought I told you not to go out there."

"You told me to use my powers to protect people." Flint protested.

"This isn't your problem to fix!" Mack argued.

"It is my problem! They're after me!" Flint exclaimed.

"And me." Daisy chimed in.

"And me." Jemma added.

"Look, they're after all of us. This isn't just one person that they're after." I elaborated.

Elena nodded. "I agree. I don't think they're gonna be picky about who they kill."

They continued to blow holes in the wall, making us even more worried. It won't be long until the wall will come tumbling down, allowing the Kree in the room.

"Well, we can't leave with this place surrounded." Daisy commented.

"Come on. A room full of secret agents, scientists, Jedi, and superheroes. Someone give me something." Phil urged.

"We stand our ground and fight." Elena offered.

"Yeah, with what? Rocks and rubbish?" Leo asked.

Flint shrugged. "I can fight with rocks."

Elena furrowed her brows. "How else do you propose to get out of here?"

"We don't go out. We go up." Deke suggested.

"There's no elevators here." Phil protested.

Deke then took out a belt buckle before making his way to a chute. "Then we make our own elevator with this."
