Chapter 21: We're Back

"All right, guys, we can finish the assembly from here. Clear this part of the building." May ordered a couple of agents.

Once they left, May rejoined the others. Radcliffe released sigh as he gave Aida special gloves. "Alternating probe and coupling lasers, built exactly to your specifications at 593.5 nanometers."

Aida then put on gloves and began making a web with beams of bright energy. We watched in awe. Ahsoka, May, Piecor, and R3 waited anxiously for us to return.

"I'm building an inter-dimensional gateway with an android I've created. If this works, I could die happy." Radcliffe said with an excited look.

"We've put our faith in a robot who says she hears ghosts. If it fails, you might die quickly." May warned.

"They're here. I promise." Aida assured them as she continued her work.

Aida, Ahsoka, Piecor, and R3 exchanged looks, which May picked up on. She looked back and forth between them, but said nothing.

"How is she doing that?" Phil asked.

Leo shook his head. "I'm not even gonna pretend to know."

"May, I really wish you could see this." Phil stated as he looked over at May.

I smirked as I watched him stare at her. Something tells me he has a thing for her.

"Coulson, watch out!" Leo yelled out.

I turned around to see Phil being pulled down. Leo and I quickly helped Phil, holding onto his as he tried fighting off whatever was pulling him. At that moment I saw the portal open up. May tried to enter, but Radcliffe held her back. Her eyes were on Phil, who she was deeply worried for. "Hold on, Phil! Come on!"

Finally we managed to pull Phil out. Phil looked at us with a relieved expression. "Let's go home."

Leo, Phil, and I rushed towards the portal, and we got out just before the portal closed. Radcliffe let out a victorious laugh. "We did it, Fitz! We did it! We did it, Fitz! We did it."

"I knew you weren't gone." May said to Phil.

Phil nodded. "I know."

R3 then beeped excitedly as he, Piecor, and Ahsoka rushed over towards me. I chuckled as I opened my arms, truly happy to be back in one piece. I then turned toward Aida with a smile. "Thank you, Aida."

Aida returned my smile as she bowed her head.

That night in my room, I decided to contact Loki, Obi, Otara, Stass, and Padmé through a hologram from R3. I would've asked Piecor to join me, however he was asleep on the small couch in my room, exhausted from the day's events. It wasn't long until Loki answered. He then appeared in hologram from along with Obi, Otara, Stass, and Padmé. They were all happy as they greeted me. However I noticed Loki was somewhat worried. He probably noticed Piecor was missing. I wonder if Piecor told Loki that he coming to see me.

"Loki, are you alright? You look worried." I commented.

Loki sighed. "It's Piecor...Obi, Stass, Padmé, and Otara informed me that he went to Earth to search for you."

"Don't worry, love. He's here with me. He somehow knew where I was and teleported himself there...did Heimdall help him?" I inquired.

Loki hesitated. "...I don't think Heimdall helped him."

I furrowed my brows, completely confused. "...Then how did he know?"

"Because he told us he saw you." Obi intervened. "He saw you in trouble...and he felt the need to act on it."
