We were taken away to some government facility, Leo and I were put in an interrogation room, reminding me much of my cell in the Framework. I shivered at just thinking of that place. I mentally shook my head. Nothing good will come out of dwelling of that place.
Leo and I sat together with our hands chained together with hard metal handcuffs. We were separated from the others who were put in other rooms. The woman who turned out to be Lieutenant Evans sat across from the table from us while the man in the suit named Lucas, who was also a Lieutenant, paced the room.
"Footage from the damaged security camera confirms you all walked in together at 8:54 p.m." Evans informed us.
"But at 9:47, when we arrived, you two along with a robot, Agent Tano, Agent Ha, and Agent Ca'ana were the only ones there. How'd they get out? Where'd they go?" Lucas questioned.
"We've told you that we don't know." I retorted.
"Okay. So, you're saying it wasn't on the security camera?" Leo asked.
"They conveniently blacked out just over two minutes before we arrived." Lucas shot back.
"What happened during those two minutes?" Evans urged.
"I swear we're telling you the truth, we don't know." Leo insisted.
"Do you like Bendeery English Ale?" Lucas inquired.
"What?" Leo and I asked, both very confused.
"Security cameras captured a Bendeery truck parked just in front of the diner before we arrived. Then it just disappeared like your friends." Lucas informed us.
"We've read your dossier, Fitz. It's impressive." Evans complimented.
"The big bad brain of S.H.I.E.L.D." Lucas added before looking over at me. "Not to mention you, Storm Odinson. An alien coming from a galaxy which is far more advanced in technology."
"We've seen your files from S.H.I.E.L.D. It's unlike anything I've seen. You're knowledge of science and technology is beyond us and our planet." Evans commented.
I shrugged. "What can I say? I was raised learning my galaxy's mechanics and technology."
"Did you help them escape with some kind of new S.H.I.E.L.D. technology? How did you know we were coming?" Evans questioned.
"We didn't!" I protested, getting frustrated.
"There was no crystal ball or or, 'Beam me up, Scotty.' We don't know how they got away!"Leo exclaimed as he also became frustrated like me. "I have a theory. You did it. You drugged our food or, uh, used some kind of gas, and now you have them in rooms just like this one, and you're messing with their mind like you're messing with Storm's and mine. So why don't you tell us where the hell are they?"
I raised an eyebrow as I sensed the confusion from both Evans and Lucas. "...I don't think think that's what happened. They're just as confused as we are."
Leo scoffed. "Oh, come on. Who the hell is in charge here?!"
The door opened, revealing an older woman with a suit similar to Evans. She had dirty blonde hair that was pulled up in a bun. She closed the door before speaking to us. "Well, it's not General Talbot, since Agent Johnson put a bullet in his head."
"That wasn't her. That was...That was an LMD." Leo explained.
The woman chuckled. "Oh, right. Alibis by Asimov, huh? Blame it on the robot."
"No, that's true." I insisted. "Who are you?"
"I'm General Hale." She introduced herself. "And if it is, it was built and programmed by S.H.I.E.L.D."
