Chapter 74: We Lost

Alotren, Jinx, Maya, Bucky, and I then quickly made our way towards Vision, who was leaning on Wanda. Steve was also alongside them. Steve contacted the others through our comms. "Everyone, on my position. We have incoming."

Kina, Gida, Tarom, Nat, Sam, Okoye and T'Challa approached us, joining us. I felt his presence as the wind picked up. We all looked around, waiting for any sign of him. At that moment, dark clouds appeared before Thanos emerged from the darkness. Bruce spoke up. "Cap. That's him."

"Eyes up. Stay sharp." Steve urged.

Bruce was the first to reach Thanos, lunging forwards him, however Thanos uses his gauntlet against him, pushing him past and burying him into the stone from the cliff near us. Steve charged towards him, but was sent flying back to the ground by Thanos with his gauntlet. He was too powerful now that he had five stones. T'Challa, Rhodey, and Sam tried, but were both pushed back. Maya, Jinx, and I all lunged towards Thanos, however before we could touch him, he used the gauntlet, pushing us away. I managed to use the Force to safety land back on the ground. I watched as one after one, our friends failed, being tossed and thrown back by Thanos.

Areria, Bucky, Erol, Gida, Nat, Okoye, Tarom, and Typho all tried fighting against him, and failed, being thrown back, trapped to the ground, or punched to the ground. Groot then tried wrapping Thanos through his roots, however Thanos broke through rather easily. Before I could get up, Nat, Maya, and I were covered with thick roots from the ground that Thanos brought up. We helplessly watched as Wanda tries destroying Vision's stone as he got closer and closer, taking down our friends. It didn't take long for an explosion to break out. She destroyed the stone. I tried breaking free from the thick roots as I noticed Thanos closing his fist and a green band formed around his wrist. In a heartbeat, Vision was back and unharmed. My eyes widened. Wanda lunged towards Vision with a horrified look. "No!"

However Thanos pushed her back, knocking her to the ground. Thanos then picked up Vision by the throat, lifting him up before digging the stone out of Vision's forehead. Once the stone was out, Vision turned colorless and falling limp in Thanos's hand. Without much thought, he tossed Vision's dead body aside before placing the last stone in his gauntlet. He yelled out as the energy of all the stones surged through him. At that moment, Thor appeared, striking Thanos with his axe, piercing him right into his chest. It seemed to all be in vain as Thanos snapped his fingers. In an instance, the gauntlet was completely fried, I watched in horror as Thor yelled at him. "What'd you do?! What'd you do?!"

Before Thor could do anything, Thanos used his gauntlet, or what was left of it, to teleport himself away, leaving Thor's axe on the ground. Once he left, all the roots that he had us in, released us. We all meet up with one another, terrified of what was happening. Steve stumbled towards us, clutching his left side. "Where'd he go? Thor... where'd he go?"

"Steve?" Bucky called out.

We then saw Bucky's arm turn into ashes before he collapsed to the ground, turning into ashes. Maya grew horrified as she rushed over towards Bucky remains along with Steve. She then turned towards me. And I felt the most awful feeling. I felt Maya slipping away. Tears filled Maya's eyes as she extended a hand out towards me, trying to reach me. Tears also filled in mine as I reached out to her. "Stay with me, Maya. Don't leave me. We said we'd always be together, no matter what happens."

"I'm sorry..." Maya replied. "I'm so proud to call you my sister. I love you, sissy."

"I'm honored to call you my sister too." I croaked out. "I love you, sisalo."

Before our hands could touch, her whole arm turned into dust before she completely disappeared. I then heard Alotren's voice. "Storm!"

I whipped around to see Jinx slowly turning into ashes. Jinx fought back tears that were threatening to fall from her silver eyes. "I'll be alright, Storm, Alotren."

I violently shook my head. "Tn'on na'wat ta so'le y'ai, sisalo."

"We all know that's a lie, Jinx." Alotren added.

Jinx forced a smile on her face as tears streamed down her face. "I love you all, and I'm so honored to have you as my siblings. May the Force be with you."

Right as Harc approached us, he saw Jinx, vanishing into ashes. Harc's face fell as rushed over to where she once stood. He sat on the ground, touching her ashes with a devastated look. Obi, Stass, Piecor, and Padmé all rushed over towards me terrified. As soon as I they reached me, I wrapped my arms around them. I heard them crying, confused as to what was happening. I glanced down at them, trying to comfort them. "Everything's going to be alright. I won't let any of you go."

Just when they were calming down, I noticed Obi's arm turning to ash. We all looked at Obi in horror. Tears filled Obi's eyes as he looked at me. "Mom?"

He then disappeared, turning into ash. I felt my heart drop as I felt Frigga disappear through the Force. More tears streamed down my cheeks as the same thing began happening to Stass and Piecor. Piecor grabbed my arm. "Mom, do you think I could've ever become an agent...an Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D.?"

"Of course, all of you could've even become Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Avengers...and even Jedi Knights." I informed them.

Piecor's and Stass's eyes lit up. "Do you mean that?"

I nodded. "I do...I love you both."

I then helplessly watched as they disappeared to ashes as well. Padmé clung to my side as she cried out. "Mom, I don't want to go."

I tightly held onto her, but my heart tore itself as I watched her legs slowly disappear. I quickly caught her before she fall to the ground. Tears fell Padmé's cheeks as she looked up at me.

"I love you, Min Turhaya. I will always love you, Frigga, Obi, Stass, and Piecor." I said as my lip began to quiver.

"And don't forget dad." Padmé added.

More tears streamed down my cheeks as I nodded. "Especially dad. I could never forget him, Min Loki."

Padmé then vanished from my arms, turning into ash as well. At that moment, Wanda, who was still sitting alongside Vision's dead body, turned into ashes. Though the Force I felt so many more: Areria, Otara, Surkea, Erol, Hilna, and so many others not just in Wakanda, but around the world. I felt all their anguish and pain. It was too much for me that I collapsed on the ground, groaning out in pain. Kina, Allie, Luke, Leia, and Ahsoka all rushed over towards me. Gida and Tarom were still in shock as they looked around, watching as the disaster unfolded itself. Luke wrapped an arm around me while Leia patted my back, trying to comfort me as my tears continued to fall from my cheeks.

"They're gone." I cried out. "They're...gone."
