"Dr. Bauer's here, and we need to get to Eli Morrow before she does. Our ICERs are in lockup. Mack, do you read me? The prison's compromised." Phil informed us through the comms.
Phil and May went down to get Eli from the prison while the rest of us waited up in the Zephyr. It wasn't long after they went in that trouble arose. We watched from the security camera in the screens room.
"Let me guess...Lucy Bauer?" Mack asked, despite already knowing the answer.
"Lucy and the whole Peanuts gang." Phil replied with a twinge of humor.
"Just lovely...there's more of them." I groaned.
Kina grumbled. "And we can't touch them."
Mack nodded. "Yeah, unfortunately not. So...she has friends."
Mack then turned towards Daisy and the rest of the team before speaking up again. "We'll have to assume they're targeting Eli Morrow."
"Targeting?" Robbie repeated rather confused.
"Well, he put her husband in a coma, right?" Daisy pointed out.
"Yikes...he must be on her bad side, which does not sound great." I commented.
Areria nodded. "Agreed."
Robbie shot me a glare. "Not helping."
"Who in the blazes said I was trying to help, especially you?" I rebuked.
"Hey, can we stay focused on the task at hand?" Mack asked, breaking up our little skirmish.
"Fine." I muttered.
"Alright...so Coulson and May are barricaded in the Warden's office, here, on the west side. And Eli Morrow is located in the east wing, here, in cellblock E. We'll split into two teams. Daisy, you lead a team to extract Coulson and May. I'll lead a team to grab Eli." Mack informed us.
"I'm going. This is my family. You have no reason to keep me out of this." Robbie rebuked.
"Because you only kill people that deserve it." Mack protested.
"Exactly." Robbie said.
"Well, down there, everyone deserves it, so you stay put." Mack ordered.
"No, we need an advantage down there. It's him. We can't even touch these things. He can kill them." Daisy pointed out.
"You said if you needed some ghosts busted." Robbie said, reminding him.
Mack hesitated before speaking. "Okay. But you don't leave my sight. And just so we're clear, this is an ICERs-only op. Anyone could have the psychosis, so they can't be held responsible for their actions. Now, S.H.I.E.L.D. is marshaling forces to control the perimeter, but that's hours away. Right now, we're the only ones going in, and we'll be outnumbered."
"Works for me." Daisy replied with a nonchalant tone.
"We'll be fine as well. We're use to going on missions where we're outnumbered." Kina chimed in.
"It reminds me of the good times." Ahsoka added with a smile.
I chuckled. "It sure does, Ahsoka."
"Alright, Fitz's Quinjet is five minutes out. That means we leave in six. Gear up." Mack informed us.
As we prepared, loading up on ICERs to shoot down the infected without hurting them, Leo arrived on the landing bay with cases of the serum in his hands. "Cases of sanity, as ordered."
Once Davis, Mack, Daisy, Robbie, Prince, Kina, and I grabbed the cases and were in the containment module, Leo walked over towards us. I looked down at the case, wondering how in the galaxies did Earth get this insane. Ahsoka, Leo, Areria, R3, and Hilna would remain behind, monitoring the jail and helping us navigate through.
