May, Leo, Mack, Phil, Robbie, Kina, Ahsoka, and I went out on a quinjet to the coordinates of the Roxxon power plant while Daisy, Areria, and Hilna remained behind on the Zephyr. We're going to end this threat once and for all.
"They're definitely here. The plant started producing energy about an hour ago." Phil commented.
"The stats are high and very unstable." Mack informed the team.
"Turbines can blow and destroy the whole building." I chimed in.
"Or the dam could break and wipe out everything in its path." Mack added.
"So, no pressure." Phil shrugged with an amused look.
"What are we waiting for?" Robbie asked, rather impatient.
"Remind me why he's here after what he did to Mace." May commented.
"Exactly. He can't even control himself." I rebuked, agreeing with May.
"Mr. Reyes wants the safe return of his uncle as much as we want the power plant shut down." Phil reminded us.
"And I'm gonna stop that lady the way I stopped the other ghosts."
"Oh really? And who's gonna stop you?" Kina shot back.
Before anyone could say anything else, Daisy spoke to us from our comms. "Hey, guys? I've got some big, fat, disappointing news. I can't hack in and shut down the plant's operating system from here."
"Well, you're out of practice. Too much punching, not enough hacking." Leo teased.
"Very funny. No, I can't hack in because their system isn't on a network. It predates the Internet. Coulson, how did anything ever get done back in the old-timey days?" Daisy asked.
"I ask myself that all the time. Okay, you heard Daisy...we're gonna have to do this from the inside. Fitz, Storm, and Mack are the engineers. Focus on shutting the power plant down. We'll rescue Eli Morrow." Phil said, briefing the mission.
Robbie nodded. "Got it."
"Okay, then. Let's get going then." Phil advised.
With that we walked into the abandoned power plant, which to me looked very ancient and very filthy if you ask me. I raised my guard, knowing Lucy and her friends could be anywhere in this plant.
"West and down another level to the control room, and not that you care, but the power surges are growing more frequent and more intense." Daisy warned.
"You're just full of good news today, aren't you?" Phil asked.
"If it makes you feel any better, I'd rather be there with you than up here on... injured reserve." Daisy replied.
It was then when Leo, Mack, Robbie, May, Phil, Kina, Ahsoka, and I parted ways to complete our assigned tasks. As we walked through the empty hallways, we heard the electricity crackling all around us. Once we reached the control system, we were greeted with equipment I'd never seen before. The equipment seemed very ancient. We quickly began to work, but nothing was working...we couldn't shut it down. Leo shook his head, completely horrified. "Oh, this is bad, very bad."
Mack slammed his hand down in frustration. "Why won't this power down? It's not like we're idiots. I've built boards like this before. I understand what's supposed to happen."
"Yeah, well, maybe they did something to it with that book that they have." Leo commented.
Mack furrowed his brows. "What? Like put a spell on it?"
"No, no, of course not. But the book could've showed them a different way to power it." Leo clarified.
"It could make sense...I mean their power cells are full of quantum tech." I pointed out.
