~ Some sexual references ahead, viewer discretion advised ~
For a few weeks, things finally start looking up. The good days turn into better days and even the bad days become a lot less bad. They start spending more time apart and start being comfortable with it. Vienna dedicates herself to her studies and sees herself go from barely passing to comfortably getting through her classes. David thinks Pavel is just as competent as all the others studying engineering full time and starts putting him through some simulations to test his abilities. He does exceptionally well and David wonders just how smart his Russian roommate really is.
Vienna opens her room door one evening and finds Pavel on the other side, a bunch of flowers in his hand. He passes them to her, smiling softly. She blinks back at him, unsure what's going on.
"What... what are these for?"
"Just because," Pavel smiles, placing a kiss on her cheek.
She brings him inside and finds a place for the flowers. She grins at them, noticing some of them look a little alien. He watches as she admires them, smiling to himself. She finally looks to him and grins, coming over to sit next to him.
"You're so sweet. Thank you. I love them."
"I love you," he says softly. "I wanted to thank you for everything. I feel like everything is finally where it should be, and I know that I wouldn't be like this if it weren't for you. I... I hate to think what I would have... What may have happened after my father passed if I didn't have you around."
She smiles at him and cuddles up close to his chest, swearing she's never felt so happy. She listens to his heartbeat and gives a deep content sigh. His arm is wrapped around her and he smiles to himself. He knows he's smiled more since joining Starfleet than he did in all his time in Russia. She sits up and gently pecks his cheek. His eyes follow her lips and she shuffles a little closer to him.
"Pasha," she whispers. She runs her finger along his bottom lip and he lets out a soft breath watching her. She replaces her finger with her own lips and starts kissing him slowly. His hands rest on her hip bones and he can feel his heart beat pick up substantially.
"Maybe we can..." Vienna starts, a little unsure how to finish the comment. Pavel doesn't need her to, he just nods and she takes his hand, taking him into her bedroom.
She makes sure the door is closed and looks to him, smiling and trying not to giggle with nervous laughter. He takes a seat on the edge of her bed and she sits beside him, pretending like she knows how to continue. She lies back and grins at him. There's something about how she's positioned with her wrists just above her head that leaves Pavel a little lost.
"Maybe I can take off your shirt?" She asks, getting no audible answer. Pavel just nods lifting his arms up and letting her remove his shirt. "Are you going to remove mine?"
"Are you alright with that?" Pavel asks softly. Vienna nods and Pavel finds his hands a little more unsteady than he'd like them to be. He feels so nervous and he has no idea why. Possibly just that what he's doing is unfamiliar territory. He takes her shirt off and discards it on the floor. His eyes take her in and she smirks at him, hooking her arms around his neck.
"Pasha," she whispers. "Kiss me, Pasha."
He happily obliges, pressing his lips against hers. His hand rests against her curve and the other is holding him up just above her. He starts kissing along her neck and she giggles, saying his name in soft pleasure. He swears he could never get sick of the sound.
Vienna encourages Pavel to let his hands wander and he squeezes her softly. She presses her hips up a little to push against his and he lets a hot breath escape his lips.
"I can feel how turned on you are," she giggles, running a hand through his curly hair.
He presses against her and swears he's never felt so nervous in his life, even when waiting for his letter from Starfleet. She asks if he's alright and he just nods.
"I'm sorry," he says quickly. "I'm just very nervous. I have never... I have never done anything like this before."
"Me neither," she admits. "I don't want to go much further than this... Not yet anyway. I'm happy just being this close to you."
He feels his nerves relax a little with her admitting that she doesn't want to progress any further yet. "I like being this close to you too Vienna. I like the skin to skin contact. And I like the faces you make."
She grins and he starts kissing her again, feeling his body shake a little with her hand running through his hair. She starts rocking her hips against his and he isn't sure what she's doing but it feels good and she seems to be enjoying the experience. He starts copying her motion and trying to create a rhythm with her. He lets a soft moan escape his lips and she does the same.
"Pasha," she says softly. "You feel so good."
He mutters a response in Russian and Vienna would kill to know what he was saying. They keep grinding against one another, letting gentle moans escape their lips. Pavel keeps talking to her in Russian and his voice is almost like a purr against her neck.
"Vienna? Where are you, I've got news!"
"That's my roommate," Vienna says, trying to hide the disappointment in her voice that they'll have to stop. She sits up a little and puts her shirt back on, kissing Pavel's cheek. "I'm gonna go talk to her. I'll give you a few minutes." She finishes her sentence with a wink and Pavel just sighs when she's gone. He wanted desperately to continue. He picks up his shirt from the floor and stretches, glad that she's giving him a few minutes to adjust.
