I have a party this weekend,
Well "party," you'd say,
But a social gathering
With one close friend,
Two almost acquaintances,
And about ten utter strangers,
And I am going to hide-
Hide in the bathroom.
I told you this plan
And you laughed a nervous laugh,
Unsure how serious I am,
Assuming I am kidding.
Well ha ha ha,
Joke's on you
Because I'm going to hide
And completely break down,
All in five minutes,
Hidden in the bathroom,
And then I'll return
To stand awkwardly
In a torturous state of socializing.
Oh that terrifying word
Sends a shiver down my spine,
And I know,
I know all too well
That I will hide in the bathroom
In the middle of this "party,"
And you will have to accept
I simply cannot socialize.
