You told me I wasn't broken,
Asked me why I say I am,
And I said I didn't know,
But I have my reasons...
I suspect I need to be broken,
So I can hope there's a normal,
And I can trust other people don't suffer
In the same ways I do.
I can trust that someone out there
Doesn't understand these feelings,
And that person is ok...
Somewhere across the world
Is a girl just like me:
Same hair, eyes, and pathetically short height,
But her mind is different
Because she's always content,
Perfectly happy all the time
Because she's not me,
She's so much better,
So I'll still say I'm broken
Because I can hope for others,
I can hope they don't understand
And hope they never will.
