Boxes

Sometimes there is all too much
Swirling down the drain
That is screwed inside my brain.

Sometimes I just need to organize
Some of the chaos
In the midst of the storm.

Put a thought into a box,
The frame that is a poem,
Rhymes, and stanzas, and pattern.

But somehow more thoughts spill out,
And I must unbox
The problems that escaped their cages.

Unbox
Box
Unbox

I must start again.

Box
Unbox
Box
Unbox
Box
Unbox

Uh oh, there's a knock at my door,
Better let him in...
Oh yay... a new package...

Unbox the box of boxed up thoughts
That crawl back inside and tangle
Until I try once again.

Box
Unbox
Box

Unbox

Explosion.

I opened the wrong box.
