Two contradictions split,
Fighting from either end,
Separated by a semicolon,
Life or death? Life or death?
Will the sentence end?
I can't pick a side,
So I've curled up inside
This semicolon of mine.
Lying in a fetal position,
I let it wrap around me,
Pulling me inside it's cocoon,
Where I am slowly quickly changing
Into something better? Worse?
Too late to worry now...
Both sides of the sentence laugh,
Calling me to stay
In life? In death?
I can't pick a side of the sentence,
So I'll stay wrapped inside,
A human contradiction,
Hidden in a semicolon.
