I'm gonna go swimming
Because why the fuck not.
All the light's dimming,
And there are just a lot
Of reasons I should swim
When there's nothing else to do
And it feels quite grim
Unable to speak to you.
It's such a nice day
Down by the cold pool,
So I think I'll just stay
And ignore every rule.
Don't worry, I won't drown,
But I'll have some fun
When the light's go down.
No, I'll never be done.
It's a shame you went away
And left me all alone
Because now I'll fix this day
All on my own.
If only you were here
To slow down the wave,
I might not disappear
Or want someone to save
Me from this melancholy
Causing me to swim far
Away from you or me.
Under every burning star
Burning the fiery sky,
I'm swimming to fight
To escape every lie,
Even if I'm not right,
Know I'm fine.
