They say the biggest sacrifice
Is being willing to die,
But I know it's choosing to stay alive
Because death would be so easy...
Wouldn't it?
Really faith makes it harder,
Knowing where I'd go-
Somewhere perfect and safe,
But NO.
I'm choosing to make
The biggest sacrifice I know,
Carrying on for Him
Because He hasn't called me home.
If you want to see love
Or, better yet, faith,
Look to the living,
Those who fought every day
Despite their pain.
I don't think I'll get the chance
To be a martyr
Because He knows
I'm ok with that,
So He asks me to hang on,
Even though others will fall.
Hold on with me,
And we can live together
Through the daily sacrifice
Of living for something greater,
Greater than ourselves.
I have faith-
Faith we're not alone,
So I'll live for a faith
That asks me to keep moving.
If you're about to ask
"Hey are you ok?"
Yes, I am perfect, actually
Because I have a reason
Greater than all the rest.
I have a God,
A Father,
Who wants me here right now,
And I feel Him with me
Just here to love me
And tell me
I am NEVER alone!
So yeah, it's hard sometimes,
But this is my sacrifice,
And I will make it everyday.
