Sick in Bed

Early one morning in Leo and Fluttershy's house, Leo was in the kitchen cooking. As for Fluttershy, she was currently going through a little problem at the moment.

In Fluttershy's room

Fluttershy: *sneezes and grabs a tissue to blow her nose*

Back with Leo

Leo turned off the stove, cleaned up a few things, and went upstairs to Fluttershy's room. As soon as he opened the door, he heard a very quiet sneeze come from Fluttershy.

Leo: "How are you doing sis".

Fluttershy: *coughs* "Never better" *coughs*

Leo stuck a thermometer in Fluttershy's mouth which then showed that her temperature was still a bit high.

Leo: "You're still burning up, but the good thing is that your condition isn't as bad as it was yesterday".

Fluttershy: *coughs* "That's good"

Leo: "I'll be right back"

Leo went back downstairs to grab a small tray and placed a bowl of soup and two pieces toast on it. He walked back upstairs and gave Fluttershy her food.

Fluttershy: "Thanks Leo"

Leo: "No problem Fluttershy, now make sure you get some rest after you finish your food".

Fluttershy: "I will"

Leo exited Fluttershy's room and closed the door behind him. Once Leo had left, Fluttershy started to eat a piece of toast. But as soon as she took one bite, Leo came back into her room.

Leo: "I forgot to warn you...the soup is still very hot".

Fluttershy: *giggles* "I'll be sure to let it cool before I eat".

Leo smiled and once again closed the door to Fluttershy's room. Fluttershy did as Leo told and got some rest once she finished eating.

Meanwhile, Leo was sitting on the couch watching episodes of Space Heroes with Angel Bunny sitting beside him. But he made sure to keep the volume low, as he didn't want to wake up Fluttershy. After an hour had passed, Leo heard a knock at the door. Leo opened it to find that Slash was standing outside.

Slash: "Hey Leo, how's Fluttershy doing"?

Leo: "She's doing better than she was yesterday". "She's in her room sleeping".

Slash: "Thanks Leo"

Slash went up to Fluttershy's room to check on her. When he got there, she was fast asleep, but it seems that she lost her blanket on the floor. Slash picked up the blanket and covered Fluttershy with it; but also tried his best not to wake her up.

Slash: 'She looks cute when she's sleeping'.

Slash pulled up a chair and sat next to Fluttershy to watch over her. But what he didn't know, was that Leo was watching from outside the window. He smiled at the site of Slash caring for his sister. It reminded him of how Master Splinter used to take care of him when he was sick. But Leo's smile quickly faded, and waa replace with a sad expression. Because as soon as the thought of Master Splinter entered his mind, he remembered something that he had to do for tomorrow.

Leo: "Tomorrow is really the day again". *sighs* "

Leo went back inside the house and went up to Fluttershy's room.

Leo: *quietly opens the door and whispers* "Hey Slash, can I talk to you for a moment"?

Slash followed Leo out of the room and downstairs to the living room. He was wondering what Leo wanted to talk to him about.

Slash: "So...what did you want to tell me"?

Leo: "Well...I was wondering if you could do me a favor and look after Fluttershy tomorrow"?

Slash: "Of course I can Leo". "But why can't you look after her tomorrow"?

Leo: "Because...there's something very important I have to do". "In fact...it's something that I have do every year".

Slash was a bit confused for a moment. But he instantly caught on to Leo's reason for why he can't look after Fluttershy tomorrow. For tomorrow is a day that Leo can never forget about.

Slash: "I understand"

Leo: "Thanks Slash"

Slash: "Any time old friend"

???: "Um...am I interrupting"

Leo and Slash looked to see that Fluttershy had woken up and was covering herself with a blanket.

Leo: "Sorry if we woke you".

Fluttershy: "No no it's fine *coughs* I just woke up by myself".

Slash: "I see you're not coughing as much anymore".

Fluttershy: "You can thank the soup that Leo made for me".

Leo: "That old recipe still works like a charm".

Slash: "Where exactly did you get that recipe anyway".

Leo: "I got it from Fluttershy's mom". "Or I guess...our mom".

Fluttershy: "I'm going to go back to bed".

Slash: "Alright, feel better soon ok".

Fluttershy: "I will" *goes back to her room*

Slash: *turns to Leo* "Don't worry, she'll be in good hands".

Leo: "I know"
