Leonardo had lost his family when he was young. His best friend Fluttershy and her family took him in, and Leo ended up having a new family. Both Leo and Fluttershy saw each other as brother and sister since that happened. Leo is now going to school...
Leo: *dodges a stinger* "These things just keep coming"!
Ever since Midnight Sparkle had escaped from Twilight's mind, she has opened several portals to Equestria. From there, dangerous creatures came through and are now attacking Canterlot City. The ninjas have been fighting to keep the monsters at bay while the city was still being evacuated. And Midnight Sparkle has disappeared without a trace.
Slash: *blocks a stinger with his mace* "What the shell is this thing"?!

Sunset: "Its a bugbear, one of the most dangerous creatures from Equestria".
Sunset quickly dodges out of the way when the bugbear tried to hit her with it's stinger. She flipped on to a car before jumping off of it and kicking the bugbear across the face. Leo threw an electro shuriken at it's stinger, electrocuting the creature. Slash then took the opportunity to leap into the air and smash his mace on the bugbear's head, knocking it out cold.
Slash: *pants* "I'm not sure I can handle fighting things like these for another hour".
Leo: *pants* "You and me both"
Somewhere close by, two kids were running away from something called a chimera. A creature with a saber-toothed tiger's front body and head, a goat's hindquarters and head on it's left shoulder, and a snake for a tail.

The chimera pounced towards the kids, but was immediately knocked back by Twilight and Wallflower. Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy however were busy fighting against a cragadile. A crocodile like creature with it's hide covered in rocks.
