Leonardo had lost his family when he was young. His best friend Fluttershy and her family took him in, and Leo ended up having a new family. Both Leo and Fluttershy saw each other as brother and sister since that happened. Leo is now going to school...
Leo: We received Rarity's message late one Saturday evening. She informed us on the news of Mr. O'Neil's capture. As well as his daughter April. Which is why tonight, my friends and I are out searching for Kraang. And we are now on our way to a possible Kraang laboratory. Hopefully we can find something there.
In the streets of Canterlot City, the ninjas drove through the city in the Shellraiser.
Wallflower: "I still can't believe Mr. O'Neil got captured".
Fluttershy: "I hope he and his daughter are okay".
Slash: "Rarity tried her best, but it's all up to us now".
Leo: "Sunset, how much farther"?
Sunset: "Turn right three blocks ahead".
Leo: "Got it"
Later, the ninjas parked the Shellraiser in an alley and snuck to the location they were trying to find. Sure enough, they eventually found the place.
Twilight: "This must be the hidden Kraang lab".
Leo: "Then let's get moving". "Hopefully we can find something about where the Kraang are holding Mr. O'Neil".
The ninjas snuck their way into the building only to find destroyed kraang droids and empty mutagen canisters.
Slash: "Huh, looks like someone beat us to trashing the Kraang".
Rainbow Dash: "Aw, I was looking forward to do that".
Leo: "Looks like one of their mutagen experiments got away from them".
Wallflower: "Um..I don't suppose they're experiment had anything to do with bugs"?
Wallflower points at some diagrams of different bugs.
Twilight: "It looks like they were experimenting on arthropods".
Leo: "Let's search around and see what we can find".
The ninjas nodded and spread out to search the lab.
Sunset opens a locker to find a bunch of equipment.
Sunset: "I found some equipment here". "Looks good too".
Twilight came over to see.
Twilight: "You're right, most of this stuff is still intact". "Hey, nice centrifuge". "Maybe I can use some of this stuff".
Rainbow Dash: "Leo, *tosses a mutagen canister* if I ever get excited about something like a centrifuge...do me a favor and put me out of my misery".
Fluttershy inspects a kraang droid's head when something caught her eye.
Fluttershy: "Um..Twilight..how big do you think one of those arthropods might be"?
Twilight: "Well a bee's about four milimeters and a wasp would be about six".
Fluttershy: "Then wh-what i-is that"?! *points*
The ninjas looked in the direction that Fluttershy pointed. Only to see a giant mutant wasp emerge from an opening in the ceiling.
