"Aish... Eat."
Umiling-iling ako kahit halos magmakaawa na siya habang idinuduldol ang isang kutsarang may pagkain sa aking harapan. Napabuga siya ng isang malalim na hininga bago ako tinitigan—nakataas ang kilay at mapang-arok ang ekspresiyon.
He always does that when I am stubborn with eating. I don't want to be ungrateful but I cant force myself from eating something my stomach would almost spit out. And everything tastes bland.
"How will you recover if you keep doing this, love?" Hindi ako umimik at nanatili lamang nakatikom ang bibig habang nakatingin sa pagkaing dala-dala niya. I continuously played with my fingers and did not say anything.
"Name it." May pagsuko sa boses niya nang sabihin niya 'yon. It was my turn to raise my brow even if Raven's blurry face is still trying to rock my system. Bigla-bigla naman talagang nanlalabo ang aking paningin... Minsan pa nga ay wala na talaga akong makita.
"Name everything you want and I'll give it to you. Just... eat, please?" malambing ang boses na pahayag n'ya. The gentleness they held was more than enougj for me to feel empowered amidst the fact that I can't almost see him.
Sinupil ko ang ngiting nais kumawala sa aking labi dahil sa sinabi niya. He seems like he'll kneel any time from now just to persuade me and that alone damn is a frontliner in making me feel better. Parang simula no'ng dumating siya, nabuhayan ako ng loob.
"Wala akong gusto." I shrugged. He pouted at my simple response and gave me his famous puppy eyes. I would consider a gentle lion for him. And I'll be his only... lioness. Just saying.
"Come on, honey. Love? Please?" Halos ipagduldulan na talaga niya sa'kin ang pagkain. Napabuntong-hininga na lang ako bago napipilitang ibinuka ang bibig. He smiled triumphantly before he started feeding me like he won a lottery on hand.
"Do you still remember how I fed you when we were abducted barely five years ago?" tanong niya sa isang pilyong tono. Tumango lang ako bago nakangiwing nginuya ang walang kalasa-lasang pagkain.
"Want to try it again, love? I wanna see that epic reaction of yours again." Pinilit kong nilunok ang pagkain bago siya sinimangutan. My reaction with his simple and deadly craziness will always stay the same.
"Baliw ka ba?" ingos ko sa kan'ya. Mahina lang siyang natawa bago ako ulit sinubuan. Lihim akong napailing pero nakangiti rin. Damn it. This feels like the old times.
"I think I am." Hinalikan pa niya ang pagkaing nasa kutsara bago 'yon isinubo sa'kin. Wow. Wala bang virus 'yan, Raven? Tsk. What the hell am I thinking?
"Since I came here..." he trailed.
"I haven't seen you with energy and life so I want to help you with everything I have. You need vitamin R to regain more of them," seryosong pahayag niya bago nagsimulang magsandok ng dagdag na pagkain.
"Vitamin R? Haven't heard about that," I commented. Inabot niya ang tissue na nasa mesa bago marahang ipinahid 'yon sa bibig ko. Pwede namang ako ang gumawa pero alam kong mapilit siya. This care he has for me like the old times is fueling me up to the core.
I feel bad most of the time when other people do things for me but I feel happy when he does so... every time.
"Vitamin Raven. 'Yon," tipid niyang sagot bago dumukwang at buong pagmamahal na hinalikan ako sa noo. His palm was on my bald head with a thin cloth. I closed my eyes in contentment and I was even more happy that if I could cry right now, I could have.
"May gano'n? Is that proven already? Bakit wala akong narinig tungkol diyan?" I tried to look innocent because I know what the hell is he trying to say. He smiled softly and my damn heart is on a summersault.
