[Quin]

"Hello? Who's this?" sagot ko sa telepono. The rest are the employees.

"Morning. Nandito ako sa parking lot." Bumilis agad ang kabog ng dibdib ko. I momentarily bit my lower lip as I felt how my grip on the pen I am holding tightened.

I know only one person who's conceited enough to tell me his whereabouts like I care so much about it.

That's what I certainly get when I get used to his presence! And I did. Wow.

"Oh, tapos? What do you want? And why are you calling in this landline?" I heard him chuckled from the other line and I almost blew a loud breath.

"I brought you breakfast. Tita told me you haven't eaten anything. Seriously? Are you trying to get yourself sick?" I can't help but bit my lips.

I heard him snorted, together with his signature exasperated breath.

"Breakfast is the most important meal for the day," paalala niya pa. Screw that concern and his healthy lifestyle.

I know he can easily extract some information to anyone, pero gusto kong malaman kung sino ang nagbigay.

"Your mom is very generous. She also gave me your cell phone number. That's why. Kindly imagine I winked at you." Pinigilan kong mapangiti. Why should I smile? Wala namang nakaa-amuse do'n!

"You should've called me on my phone. Paano kung may tumawag na empleyado? How will you take responsibility for the busy line?" I interrogated. He fell silent for a moment, probably thinking.

I heard him blew a loud breath. Bahagya akong napakunot-noo.

"You're right. Why did I call in this landline, actually? Wait." I remember I don't like being hanged up. Mayamaya ay nag-ring ang cellphone ko. It's his song playing on the speaker, as usual.

"Hello?" bungad ko sa tumatawag. Alam ko na kung sino. Urgh.

"Imagining me winking does make a difference, Quin. It'll make up your day," he bragged. I frowned.

"Why are you so conceited?" tanong ko. Narinig ko lang ang pagtawa niya. Why does it have to sound this good?

"It's not being conceited, bragging or humble bragging. It is what you call truth... Universal truth." Nasapo ko na lang ang noo ko. May I remind myself that this man is not related to me and that I shouldn't be moved by his simple gestures?

He's a celebrity!

May trabaho pa ako."

"Fine, fine. I'll leave you for now. Don't forget. Breakfast." It didt take long nefore I heard the telephone rang.

"Yes?"

"There is a delivery for you here. Iaakyat po ba, maam?" It was a receptionist. Napakunot ang noo ko. Hindi naman yata ako nagpa-order ng... Was it Raven?
