The Curse of the Bloody Clowns Hat

Whilst investigating the death of a local doctor, a hilarious housekeeper called Rick Jurgens uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, bloody clowns hat circulating throughout mental hospital. As soon as anyone uses the clowns hat, he or she has exactly 399 days left to live.

The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look grey. A marked person feels like a ginger fox to touch.

Rick gets hold of the clowns hat, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: an old-fashioned frog balancing on a bloody doctor, an old newspaper headline about a flying accident, a hooded giraffe ranting about ankles and a drinking well located in a dirty place.

When Rick notices his eyelashes have fox-like properties, he realises that the curse of the bloody clowns hat is true and calls in his lover, a detective called Deyan Kuijpers, to help.

Deyan examines the clowns hat and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. He finds the old-fashioned frog balancing on a bloody doctor particularly chilling. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.

Rick and Deyan pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded giraffe. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
