Whilst investigating the death of a local scout, a funny author called Rick The Human uncovers a legend about a supernaturally-cursed, bendy banana circulating throughout London. As soon as anyone uses the banana, he or she has exactly 24 days left to live.
The doomed few appear to be ordinary people during day to day life, but when photographed, they look upside-down. A marked person feels like a dirty dog to touch.
Rick gets hold of the banana, refusing to believe the superstition. A collage of images flash into his mind: a wicked fox balancing on a giant scout, an old newspaper headline about a magic accident, a hooded owl ranting about fingernails and a drinking well located in a creepy place.
When Rick notices his elbows have dog-like properties, he realises that the curse of the bendy banana is true and calls in his lover, a nurse called Deyan The Fish, to help.
Deyan examines the banana and willingly submits himself to the curse. He finds that the same visions flash before his eyes. He finds the wicked fox balancing on a giant scout particularly chilling. He joins the queue for a supernatural death.
Rick and Deyan pursue a quest to uncover the meaning of the visions, starting with a search for the hooded owl. Will they be able to stop the curse before their time is up?
