And For Once:
And for once the future looks bright and the sky looks wide
The path in front of my weary eyes
Does not look so long
I'm waking up to dreams at night
And feeling comfort in the sight
Of glowing corners
Rather than seeing things in the dark.
I suppose because I've conquered those demons
And I've fought off those shadows
I suppose because now I've learnt to see past things
And see everyone that has ever told me yes
Instead of no
And see everyone who has ever made me grow,
Made me glow like those corners in my room.
And for once,
I am happy.
Not the kind of bipolar up coated in manic.
No. I am secure in my contempment.
This is not an episode, this is me.
And for once,
I can finally see.
Weary eyes and all.
