Crack The Pieces:
Crack the pieces to glue them back together stronger
Sometimes the pottery needs to shatter
The Japanese line their cracked pottery with gold so that the piece may last longer
And do not see the lines as an imperfection but a beauty that matters
Because the cracks reflect that it has been through Hell and back
Only to become even more so beautiful in the eye of the beholder
So just like pottery, sometimes we must let the pieces crack
Your insides will splinter no matter the year, no matter how older
Your memories range and your nostalgia grows hazy
For some vases cannot ever again hold water
But that does not mean they are not beautiful or any less useful
You must let yourself crack
In order to fill the pieces and come back
To the depth of your own beauty.
