Wild Night Memories:
Finally feeling alive, my heart beats
Running in socks, barefoot underneath rainy night skies
Lost clothes, lost lines, losing fears in the high
Screaming in laughter, screaming that shakes teeth
Howling in the joy of prosperity, the growth of friendship swallowing the need
For isolation and eating up every single little bad thing
In a bathtub overflowing with love and soap and dreams
Clasping hands, unravelling fists to make love
Swimming in lakes and knowing the nights will go on
No matter how far away, no matter as the time changes so
A ritual formed in each of us from the get go
Of the first time we all stood in a room together and decided this was it
This was friendship, this was family, this was connection, this was
It
This is what people spend their entire lives looking for and here we've found
The miracle of humans in the sound
Of our own hopes and fears, my tears they are for you
Howling pack of animals, nostalgia formed long ago in tales of school
Finally feeling alive, my heart beats
Stripping down to skin and swearing around a table as smiles meet
Warm eyes and warm hearts this will always be family
No matter how far apart, rituals formed, annual nuptials to keep
This will always be home
And these nights will always make me feel alive.
