2. A Definitive (Poetry)

-Sixteen-

I Am Difficult To Comprehend, I Know:

I am friends 

With everything I have ever loved 

I am friends 

With everyone I have ever touched 

I do not discard 

People at the whims of human angst 

Because people I've loved are too big to replace

To just throw them away like what happened never did

Is a lie I cannot and will not bring myself to bid

In the gamble of life. 

I'm sorry if that is difficult to comprehend

How I can love so many people and yet not want to be with them

I'm sorry I am difficult to understand 

People aren't mean to be easy solutions 

They are meant to be complicated equations 

I'm sorry if my way of life seems intrusive 

I am loud and persuasive 

I am not afraid of loving nor to be loved 

I have trouble letting go of people because everyone

Deserves to be gloved 

Under the feeling of knowing they are wanted 

I keep many because I want them to know 

That no matter how alone

No matter how haunted,

They will always have me. 

I am friends with everything

I have ever loved

I am friends with everyone

I have ever touched 

I do not discard 

People at the whims of human angst, 

And this kind of acceptance is hard to comprehend 

I'm sorry I am difficult to understand

But I am not sorry for looking out for the people who once had my love.
