Rhys' POV

When Kaori is taking a shower, I call my cousin to make sure if the old man is really here.

"Yeah?" He answered my call.

"It's me." I said.

"Oh shit, man. Is that really you?!" He ecstatically said.

"Yeah. You know where my OG at?" I asked.

"Do I look like your Dad's secretary?" He scoffs. "And of all people, why are you asking me that kind of question?" He asked.

"I can't call my Dad's secretary because that's the stupidest move that you can ever imagined. So just answer my damn question, Gian." I angrily said.

"Okay okay. Geez! It's been a long time you didn't got in touch with us then here you are, randomly called me just asking where's Uncle. You're such a weird ass moth--" I didn't finish what he said cause I dropped the call. Typical Gian.

When I was about to make another call from someone, Gian called me back. I sighed and answered it. "And you're still that ass--" I cut him off by saying, "Talk to you later." I said and hang up.

I think I have no choice but to call my sister and I hope she'd be helpful.

"Hello?" She finally picked up.

"Hey. It's me." I casually said.

"Kuya Rhys, is that you?!" She cheered. "Oh my gosh. Are you back?" I know she will ask this question.

"No. Look, I have something to ask you." I said.

"What is it?"

"Do you know where Dad is?" I asked.

"Well Daddy went to the Golf Club this afternoon. Why? Wait, I had a bad feeling that you're planning something again." My sister, the keen observer asked me.

"Nothing. Really." I honestly replied.

"Well, okay. I hope you'll be back soon. There are certain things that are really out of hand lately." She stated.

"Like what?"

"Are you still not talking to kuya?" She asked. I gave her silence.

"Well you need to figured things out between the two of you before it gets worse cause honestly kuya, it's getting more chaotic here." She stated.

"I'll think about it. I better get going now."

"Just please come back kuya. I hope I'll see you soon." She said and hang up. So if it wasn't my Dad, then who's here?

The silence break when Kaori stepped out at the bathroom, awkwardly distance herself to me and sits on the couch.

"Eto na iyong phone." She said handing me over the phone. "May tumawag pala diyan." She added.

"Did you?"

"Wala no." She quickly respond.

"Good."
