Kaori's POV
Halo halong emosyon ang nararamdaman ko ngayon. Hindi ko alam kung saan ako magsisimula. Kung magpapasalamat ba ako sa tatay ko na pumunta siya dito o hihingi ako ng tawad sa pagsisinungaling ko.
"Papa?" Sabi ko habang pinipigilan kong wag kabahan. "Sorry if--"
"You don't have to say sorry." Biglang sabi niya sa akin. "I am the one who suppose to say it."
Di ako makasalita dahil di ko alam ano mararamdaman ko, tuwa ba o galit?
"I missed you so much." Naluluhang sabi niya. Di ko siya sinagot.
"But now that you're here, I don't know what to say. I can't even bring myself to apologize." Nahihiyang aniya.
"If you're sorry, you should apologize." Deretsong sambit ko. "What are you sorry about?"
"For leaving you and your Mother." Nagsimula muling pumatak ang luha sa aking mga mata. "I regretted it a lot."
"Is that all?" Pinipigilan ko sarili huwag magalit kasi masakit talagang isipin na pinabayaan niya lang kami at iniwan na walang pasabi.
"Kaori, I'm so sorry. I have my shortcomings in becoming your father. I was a coward, too afraid to face you and your mother. Because I already have another family. I don't want them to know about you. And what I did yesterday, was my greatest mistake I ever done. I hope you will still forgive me and give me another chance to be your father once again." Hindi ko alam anong sasabihin ko at kung ano ang dapat kong maramdaman. Pero iisa lang ang alam kong dapat gawin.
"Of course I will forgive you, Papa." At iyon ang magpatawad.
"Arigatō, musume." Muli niya akong niyakap ng mahigpit at nararamdaman ko naman din ang kanyang sinseridad kaya sino ba naman ako na hindi bigyan ng isa pang pagkakataon ang aking Ama?
(Translation: thank you, my daughter)
"Tokorode, where's your friend?" Sabi ni Papa.
(Translation: by the way)
Teka, si Rhys!
"He's right there--" napatigil ako sa pagsalita dahil hindi ko na siya makita at nawala din ang taxi kung saan siya nakasandal. Kanina lang nandiyan lang siya at yung taxi ah. Asan na yun?
"I must thank him. He's the reason why I'm here with my daughter." Sabi ni Papa.
"About that, I'm sorry if I have to use my friend to lie just to bring you here." Nahihiyang sabi ko.
"He did not lie to me, Kaori. He told me everything." Nakangiting sambit ni Papa.
Flashback
"She had an accident yesterday." Rhys stated.
"Which hospital?" Mr. Oinuma voice broked.
"Follow me." Rhys replied.
But he suddenly stopped and faced Kaori's father once again.
"I'm sorry Mr. Oinuma, but I lied." Rhys confessed. "Kaori didn't got into an accident. She is just there in the hospital, desperately waiting for her father to appear." He continued.
