Chapter 06

Rhys' POV

What the fuck just happened?! From the moment when the call ended, I didn't know what to do. My blood burns crawling into my veins and can't help but to step out and find where that girl is.

As soon as the door bus opened, I rashly walked and immediately go straight to the office hoping that Kaori is there. I tried find her there but I failed. Where are you?!

"Kawagoe-eki e yokoso."

(Translation: Welcome to Kawagoe Train Station.)

My adrenaline keeps rising and by the time when I saw her, sitting on a bench with a police officer. I took a deep breath of relief.

You scared me crazy girl.

As I come near her, she noticed that it was me. I was caught off guard. She ran to me and hug me tightly. I responded.

"Don't do that again." I suddenly spoke.

"Oh. Sorry." She apologized and release me from the hug and I was furiously not satisfied from it so I pulled her and hugged her once again.

"I was the one who needs to apologize, you idiot." I said. She didn't reply and just kept silent. So I ended the hug awkwardly.

The police officer came near us and asked us some questions regarding the situation had happened.

"Are you hurt?" I asked.

"Just a minor head injury. But I'm totally fine." She answered.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Eh kasi nga bukol lang naman to. Lagyan ko lang to ng ice. Good na to." She reasoned out.

"Let me see it."

She lifted her bangs and saw the lump on her forehead. It's a relief to see that it's not that bad.

"If there is a serious matter, you can report it to the head for safety pre-cautions. It's highly commended." The police officer suggested.

"Yes please." I replied.

"Kailangan ba talaga iyon?Atsaka hindi naman grabe yung nangyari eh." She asked.

"Of course yes! It was really extremely dangerous with what happened to you back there. What if the culprit comes back. What would you do if you're all alone again? I cannot afford that to happen again." I explained.

"Opo na. Tara hanap nalang tayo ice."

"Why are you so calm? You just got attacked by a burglar. In case you didn't remember." I remind her.

"So? May nagawa ba tayo to stop him? Everything happens for a reason ika nga. I should be thankful na wala talagang nangyari sakin na masama." She reasoned out again. "Tara na kasi. Libre mo ko ng ice kasi kinuha lahat ng pera ko yung magnanakaw." She added.

"What an odd girl." I mumbled.

We go to the store to buy some ice cubes for her bruise on the forehead.
