"Rhys!" Kaori abruptly held the hand of Rhys while they're rushing Rhys to the Hospital.

Gian and rest of their friends are also at the back, getting worried because of Rhys.

They're following the nurses pushing the hospital bed where Rhys is laying until it reached to the room that they're not allowed to enter.

Kaori frustratedly placed her hands to her head and faced Gian. "Ano ba kasing nangyari? May sakit ba sa kanya? May lagnat ba siya? Anoooo?"

Halos mangiyak iyak na si Kaori na di niya maintindihan. Kaya pinakalma siya ng mga kaibigan niya.

"Hapon, let's calm down. Baka napagod lang yon or na-over fatigue." Gabby said, comforting Kaori.

"Tama si Gabby, Kao. Hintayin nalang natin na maging okay siya." Missy agreed.

"Lalabas din yon after a few minutes. Kaya there's nothing to worry about okay?" Gian said.

But it was a lie. It's been two days na pero hindi parin siya lumabas. Kaori thought when she remembered that line.

Two days have passed since the incident at the Basketball game. All of their friends including Kaori, were still worried sick and anxious to know what happened to Rhys what he's current condition as of now.

Hindi kasi nila mabisita si Rhys sa ospital due to the Chairman's command na only legitimate family lang ang allowed na bumisita sa kanyang apo. Since fiancé palang naman ang Mama ni Kaori at hindi pa asawa, they're not allowed na pumasok kaya nakiki-update nalang siya kay Andrea, sa bunsong kapatid ni Rhys.

But it saddened Kaori more kasi kahit si Andrea, hindi alam kung ano talaga ang totoong kondisyon ng sariling kapatid. Tanging ang Chairman at ang Ama ni Rhys lang ang totoong nakakaalam. Siguro dahil confidential ito at ayaw nilang ipaalam para maiwasan kumalat ang balita.

Nagtamo naman ng samu't saring komento ang mga estudyanteng nakapaligid kay Kaori ngayon habang naglalakad siya sa quadrangle ng unibersidad. Hindi parin sila tumitigil sa issue tungkol kay Rhys.

"Wala pa bang update tungkol kay Rhys?" Rinig ni Kaori sa dalawang babaeng nagkukwentuhan sa may bench. Sa tuwing naririnig niya ang pangalan ni Rhys, tila ba'y may kumurot sa kanyang puso.

Napabuntong-hininga nalang ulit si Kaori habang mag-isang naglalakad sa campus. Napaaga masyado ang dating niya kahit wala naman gagawin dahil di pa tapos ang event sa University kaya wala pa siyang kasama ngayon. Konti palang din ang nakikita niyang estudyante sa School nila.

Gaya nitong nakaraan, she's still feeling sad and hefty combined, it's too insignificant. Like there's a void and emptiness in her heart.

Ironic, isn't it?

How emptiness can be so heavy.

Rhys woke up from the beeping sound of the machine beside him. The first thing he saw was the white fluorescent from the ceiling. He slowly managed to sit up properly and absorb what happened before he passed out.
