Chapter 21

Rhys' POV

Before I go outside, I saw the dream catcher first and touched its feathers. I smiled a bit. It calms me whenever I did that. As I go outside and walk to the halls my eyes widened as I saw Andre and Kaori talking.

"Oh Rhys." Said Andre. I was caught off guard when I saw Kaori. She's cute wearing a pink top along with the black skirt.

I need to get out of here before Andre will get notice.

"Come here. I'd like you to meet--"

"Not interested." I directly said and went downstairs. As long as he will not get suspicious, the safer.

I saw people gathering at the dining area and saw Argel approaching me.

"Chairman will be here." I stated.

"What? Why so soon?"

"Cause everyone is here. That's why." He replied and went outside.

The dinner went normal as the Chairman expectedly barged in as usual, I have to be extra careful because not only Andre I have to deal with. But also Chairman, Ramona and her Father, Dyogi.

Dyogi is the right hand of Chairman. He seemed not a big thread but believe me, I knew he has something to do with the dirty business of Madam Phoebe when she was still alive.

And Ramona? I don't think she had anything to do with me because they can't use her against me anymore. All I can do now is observe them and keep an eye on their next move.

But the more I focused on them, the more I get distracted with her. I noticed that Dumb dumb at the other side of the table is getting cozy with Vince, the son of Aunt Sarah. I gritted my teeth and just walked out of the table to go to the rest room. Damn! Why am I like this? Get a grip.

"What a scene, right?" I heard Ramona at edge of the men's rest room and saw her there standing, crossing her arms.

"Yeah. And you're mentally unstable by going to the men's comfort room." I replied and stepped out.

"I saw you, Rhys." She said, I ignored her. "Wait until someone will get noticed by that." She sarcastically said.

"And I don't have time for your bullshit." I hissed and walked away but she pulled me and attempted to kiss me, I pushed her away.

"What about if I spill you some tea? Still don't have time for my BS?" She smirked.

I turned my attention to her.
"Time's running." I said.

"As you can see, I'm not messing with girl tonight cause someone will have to do it for me." I clenched my fist and trying to not get her the idea that I'm affected. She cling to me and whispered. "Piece of advice, you better be careful at making decisions and come to me before something ugly gonna happen."

After she left the rest room, I directly went outside to find Kaori.

When I got back to the dining area, my head hurts knowing that she was not there so rushed to the staircase to find her.

And there I bumped into a kid that Chairman brought here tonight. "I'm sorry." He said and hurriedly walk away like he's finding someone also. He seems familiar to me though. It's like I saw that dude a long time ago. But them I ignored the kid and continue on what I'm focusing right now.
