Chapter 10

Rhys' POV

After I went to the dean's office to officially withdraw here in International School, I go straight to the registrar office to claim my forms.

When I was about to enter the room, someone grabbed my arm and kissed me in the lips.

I pushed her away.

"I knew it was you." I said while wiping my lips that has a stained red lipstick.

"I missed you." She said lingering my arms crawling unto my neck.

"Why are you here?" I asked and grabbed her hands off me.

"Why the coldness babe?" She pouted. "Well, I happened to had a shoot yesterday at Osaka so I came here to see you." She explained.

"Okay, you saw me."

"Stop being like this and come back already." She said.

"You know, you should really get back soon cause I have better things to do. See you later, Mona." I said and walked away through the hallway.

But she blocked my way again. I gritted my teeth to hold my anger and frustration. I can't fix my emotions right now, the fact that this lady in front of me was the love of my life.

"Stop ignoring me babe. Nandito na ako diba? Ano pa ba ang gusto mo?" She asked.

Yes. This is the exact thing I wanted, before.

"Break up with him." I speak to my mind but I never thought that I could actually said it to her.

"You know I can't do that." And here it is. The biggest punch in my face. What would I expect?

"Then let's stop this. We're over the moment you accepted the engagement." I replied.

"But I love you, not him." She said and holds my both hands.

"Love?" I scoffed. "Seriously? If you really love me, you would chose me over my brother. We're done, Ramona." I exclaimed and let her go. I hate to do this but I don't want to expect anything anymore. Especially if you're going to marry my brother. I walked away.

"Oh c'mon, Rhys. You're just saying that cause you found someone to play with, again." I froze with what she have said.

"Now tell me, Rhys. Who's the new girl?"

"Look, I don't have time for this. And if there's actually someone, I'll make sure that she's better than this." I harshly said while pointing my eyes directly at her and walked out.

As I walk near the library, my eyes widen when I saw Kaori hiding behind the corner and seeing Mona still following me is the worst timing that I can ever imagine.

My ex is fast approaching and I don't know what to do so I let my guts control my body. I grabbed Kaori's hand and we run to the hallway.

"Rhys!" I heard Mona shouts. I don't care what she will think but I just can't reveal Kaori to her. I can't afford Kaori to get involve in any of this.

We run together until we reached the rooftop.

"Bakit mo iyon ginawa?" She asked, almost out of breath while I'm catching my breath also.
