Rhys' POV
It's already two in the dawn and I am driving the dark road to Batangas without any sleep. I'm starting to have a massive headache, I can feel the veins in my temple pumping.
I saw Kaori already sleeping peacefully, and I'm the only one who's awake in here. These kids are a serious pain in the ass.
I cannot deal my exhaustion any longer so I stopped for a while. I massaged my head and rubbed my face.
Kaori suddenly woke up, she must've felt that the car wasn't moving anymore.
What a lightheaded sleep.
"Okay ka lang? Gusto mo ipagtimpla kita ng kape? Medyo mainit init pa naman ang tubig dito." She asked in a low voice while checking up on me.
I just nodded, eyes closed. My migraine seemed to be worsen these days.
"Eto na coffee mo. Gusto mo ng chicken nuggets? Eto nalang kasi natira dito. Naubos nila ang sandwich eh." Said Kaori while serving me food.
Stop being adorable, dumb-dumb. I'm not in my normal state. I might just kiss you.
"Woi, ba't nakatingin ka lang sa'kin diyan? Umayos ka nga at inumin mo na kape mo bago pa 'to lumamig." She said.
"Why you brought so many things? We're just staying for two days, you know." I muttered.
"Mabuti nang handa no." She replied.
"You know we can just buy stuff on the store." I raised an eyebrow while sipping my coffee.
"Di mo ba alam anong tawag sa ginagawa ko? Tawag dito practical. Palibhasa you can't relate. Rich kid be like." She sneered rolling her eyes while organizing her things. I noticed that she also brought many clothes.
"And what's with the whole bunch of clothes?" I scoffed asking.
"Ano na namang problema mo sa mga damit ko?" She started to get enraged and I like seeing her being annoyed, so I continue to make fun of her a little bit.
"Nothing. Just to make you clear that we're here for the weekend and not for the entire weekend." She seemed furious and I felt satisfied for what I get.
"Alam mo magdrive ka na. Mukhang okay ka na eh. Huwag mo kong hintayin na saktan kita, sinasabi ko sa'yo." She furiously stated in a calmed manner, I laughed.
"I don't know if it's really the coffee that made me awake or you." I said laughing.
"Talagang magigising ka pag nasapak kita ngayon." She muttered.
I helped her to clean up and started the gas to continue our journey.
Kaori's POV
Nagpatuloy ang paglalakbay namin at mahimbing parin ang tulog ng apat sa likod.
Di ko parin kinakausap si Rhys dahil sa inis ko sa kanya. Lakas mang-asar ng tuod na ito.
"Am I still a stump to you?"
Umiling iling ako ng marinig ko ang tinig ni Rhys sa likod ng utak ko.
