Rhys' POV
I was at this moment when I can't hold it any further. I bursted into laughter because of the klutzy girl who is now sitting beside me, covering her face into shame. And I couldn't stop from laughing.
"Ang saya natin ah." She commented and raised her right thumb, she continued. "Happy?"
"Not my fault you were born to have the same two left feet." I answered in full of sarcasm.
It's been long time since I laughed this hard. It felt nice. I smiled at the thought.
But the smile on my face slowly fade when I saw my dad calling.
Kaori's POV
Tingnan mo nga naman. Marunong palang ngumiti tong mokong na to eh.
"What is it this time?" Biglang tanong niya.
"Kailangan pa palang madapa at mapahiya ako para lang matawa at makangiti ka ng ganyan no?" Komento ko.
"I guess so. I think you just paid me back for stealing my day by being a mess the whole time. It's entertaining, I must admit." Natatawang sabi niya.
"Wow! Ano ako clown? Thank you ha!" Sarkastikong sabi ko.
"No problem." Natatawa paring sagot niya. Natawa nalang din ako.
"Pero seryoso, salamat at sinamahan mo ko dito." Sinserong sabi ko. Ngumiti naman siya bilang ganti.
Ang cute pala nitong mokong na'to pag nakangiti eh... Sandali! Naku Kaori! No to marupok please lang. Know your priorities.
*Ring Ring Ring*
May tumatawag sa kanya pero ang tagal niya bago ito sagutin. Iyon din ang nagpalaho ng mga ngiti niya.
"Yes Dad." Biglang rinig kong sinabi niya. Mukhang tatay niya ata kausap niya. Malamang Kaori, 'Dad' nga diba?
"So you knew already. How am I not surprised?" Rinig ko ulit.
Eavesdropping ba tawag dito? Siguro? Pero magkatabi lang kami, kaya imposibleng di ko marinig usapan nila. Duh?
"Haa.. Not my problem you're renting the house without me knowing. You will never make me go that easily. I'm going to stay here wether you like or not." Sabi niya at binabaan na wala man lang paalam. Wala talagang modo tong kumag na'to. Pati sa tatay niya, ganyan parin ang paguugali.
"What are you looking at?" Pambabasag niya ng katahimikan. Di ko rin namalayan na sinamaan ko na siya ng tingin.
"Wala." Sagot ko.
"So you're giving me dirty looks for nothing huh." Sarkastikong sabi niya.
Kalma Kaori. Huwag mong patulan yan. Tiisin mo tong lalaking to hangga't hindi ka pa nakakarating sa kinaroroonan mo.
Rhys' POV
I sensed it all along that she's been listening the whole time when I was talking to my Dad. I just want her to know that I was not bothered by it. But why is she glaring at me like that? She was nice to me awhile ago. What's her problem now?
"Narinig ko yung paguusap niyo ng tatay mo. But it's not my intention to eavesdrop." She explained, a little bit defensive but in a formal way. Hmm.. Well that's new.
"I know. You were very interested in listening at someone's conversation though." I sarcastically said and smirked.
I was expecting on the usual thing that she's been doing but I was wrong. Her reaction, it's different this time.
