We're both just now going to sleep and I can honestly say I've been looking forward to this. Before I get all the way into my room I stop and lean up against his door. "Auggie, if you need anything during the night just yell. Or come get me" He looks over at me. "I'm pretty sure that's supposed to be my job but okay bella. Goodnight" I say goodnight and turn away.
What does he mean it's supposed to be his job? Why? As I'm getting my bed ready to get into I grab the yellow fuzzy blanket and then realize that I never gave August his. I quickly scoop it up and run to his room. Since his door is open I just keep going. I make the mistake of simply throwing it on his body because apparently he didn't hear me come in. He jumps so hard I instantly feel bad. "Oh! I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to scare you" He quickly shakes his head at me. At least I think that's what he's doing. It's dark. "No no. I was almost asleep. You scared me awake" I laugh and say goodnight for real this time and go to sleep. - I wake up and immediately check the time. 10:01 am. Still kind of early. I sit up and stretch before listening for anything in the house. Nothing. No movement. No random sounds. Absolutely nothing. He must still be asleep. I quickly grab a towel and rag so I can take a shower and get ready for the day. - When I get out smelling like freshly picked strawberries I make my way over to my dresser and closet. I pull out a white crop top covered in sunflowers and some high waisted yellow shorts.

I quickly pull on a pair of seamless pale pink underwear and then the top and bottoms. As I'm putting on lotion I hear a knock on the door. I finish rubbing it in and open the door. "Goodmorning auggie!" He simply grunts at me. Hmm. Is he not a morning person. "Is it morning? Already?" My smile is replaced with a pout. "Did you not sleep last night? I told you if you needed anything to come get me" He shook his head and sighed. "I'll do that tonight. I can't sleep in foreign places. It'll take a couple nights to adjust." I nod my head. "I'll just have to stay up with you"
After repeatedly telling me no and me waving him off he finally goes to take a shower so we can get started with the day. - He comes out of his room and leans on my door frame. I look over at him and see that he's wearing a black t shirt and navy blue joggers. I smile at him and run to my closet and grab my white espadrille wedges.

As I'm grabbing them I look at the rest of my shoes. Wedges, heels, converse and birkenstocks. I need to change it up. I look back at Auggie and see him just watching me. "Hey, how do you feel about going to the mall?" He gives me a kind of scared look and I quickly think it over. "Or we could go to the thrift store. It'll be quieter" He nods at me. "I'm okay with either" I nod my head at him and put on my shoes. I steal a glance at him and he still looks scared. "But not for too long! I only want a couple things anyway" I hear him let out a sigh of relief and smile. - "Okay, so I need a couple pairs of shoes, I kind of want some new dresses and then we can go to the thrift store" He nods at me and begins to get out. Hopefully this isn't a total bust. I would like to come out of the house with him some more.
We make our way in and I immediately spot a shoe store. I grab his arm and pull him with me. When we got in I saw a pair of pink jelly wedges, then I saw them again in white. I found my size and continued to look. Then I saw yellow and white flats and got both pair. "Love bug, slow down. We've only been in here 8 minutes and you already have 4 pairs of shoes" I giggle and look at him. "Well I don't wanna be in here forever and these are all really cute" I give him my best smile and continue looking. I don't see anything else so I walk to the counter. As soon as she's on the last pair I feel someone tap me on the shoulder. I turn around and see August holding up a pair of black, strappy espadrille wedges. "These look like something you would wear" He scratches the back of his neck and I grin.
I quickly take them from him and check the size. They're my size so I put them on the counter as well. The cashier gives us a longing look. Hmm? I wonder what that means.
We go to the shop right across from it who's name I didn't catch. All I saw was the pretty yellow babydoll dress. I find my size and throw it over my arm before looking around the rack. Everything else on this rack is ugly. I move to another and keep looking. After a couple minutes I don't find anything but then a flowing green catches my eye and I turn the rest of the way to see it. A gorgeous green polka dot dress. It ties up in the front and the straps are spaghetti. I grab it and put it over my arm as well before a blue two piece also catches my eye.

I grab it and toss the two dresses to auggie. "Come with me! I have to try this on first" Normally I would trust a tag but this looks like it runs small and I really want it.
