We stepped out of the bus along with a lot of people, we all seemed to be walking in the same direction which confirmed my theory of us all going to the same place.
We soon came across the sound of music before we even saw where it was coming from.
My eyes took in everything, from cars passing by to groups of friends telling jokes while playing around with each other as they walked.
That reminded me of Alissa and the thought of how upset she would be if she found out I went to a fair/ carnival without her.
We joined a line and very soon Terrance paid for bought of us to enter not even allowing me to object as he paid and walked away with me trying to catch up to him which was kind of hard to do with all the things that were distracting me.
I looked back in his direction and ended up walking straight into him as he made a sudden stop.
"Will you at least try and look where you are going ?." He snapped a little at me as he turned around to face me.
"Sorry, I've just never been to a fair before," I told him honestly as I tried to focus on him but kept looking around none the less.
"I don't intend on spending my day trying to find you." He said as he grabbed me by the hand as you do with a child when crossing the road and started to walk again. His steps were a lot wider than mine and I had difficulty walking at his paste while trying to look at everything I possibly could.
"Where are we even going?."
" rollercoaster." He stated as he used his other hand to point over at the giant tracks I somehow hadn't noticed before.
This caused me to gulp, I've never been on one but I could hear the screams from where I was, it seemed terrifying.
"Is that even safe?." I asked as he continued to pull me along by my hand.
"Of course it is, and were going on it." I felt afraid, that thing was about fifty feet up in the air, scratch that I felt really terrified but I didn't want to look like a wimp in front of Terrance.
I felt my hands sweating, but it seemed as if he didn't mind or maybe he didn't even notice because he still held on to my hand as he pulled me along.
At least today he didn't look all mysterious, he actually had on slightly bright colours today instead of dark ones and wasn't wearing a hoodie.
Plus the dark sunglasses complimented his face along with his hair.
There were a lot of impatient persons in the line I could tell by the looks on their faces or by the way they tapped their feet, and the way some to the girls were chewing their gum.
Terrance stood behind me in line with his hands at his side.
I stood at an angle sideways where I was able to glimpse Terrance. He was currently looking up, his head was tilted up at the rollercoaster tracks with a slight smile. It seemed like hours until we were finally almost at the front of the line when a guy walked overacting all sneaky, suspicious and smart. He was obviously trying to find the right person to cut in front of the line.
I glimpsed over at Terrance and of course, he had noticed the guy already. I looked down from him and saw that his hands were clenched at his sides, and to make it worst the guy seemed to be heading right where we were.
Either in front of me or him, I wondered if Terrance would really beat the shit out of him. I mean would he?, who am I kidding, of course, he would and I do not plan on getting thrown out of the fair because of his temper. Although I was terrified of this ride I still wanted to experience what it's like.
I watched the guys tactics and of course to his bad luck he seemed to be moving over to where we were. I watched as Terrance tightened his jaw, indicating that he was grinding his teeth together in slight irritation.
When the guy was almost close enough I watched as his hand twitched a little. That was all it took for me to know what would go down if I didn't do anything.
I turned around completely to Terrance and grabbed him by his hand pulling him closer to me. We now stood side by side with the inside of my elbow locked around his arm.
"You are not getting into a fight," I mumbled up at him. He was still grinding his teeth causing his jaw to move in and out, but his hands weren't in fists anymore. He seemed to be calming down.
And indeed the guy did cut the lie right behind us. He should really be thanking me for saving his life, if only he knew it.
Very soon we were on the ride, it was two to each row in the rollercoaster and Terrance was the one sitting next to me.
No wonder he wanted to go on this ride. He said he liked adrenaline, he liked the feeling of his heart beating fast. Well trust me my heart was surely beating fast, the rollercoaster slowly went up on its tracks, it was shaking and making odd noises of rusty metal rubbing.
We were strapped in tightly but still, the image of us falling out was still in my mind.
"We're going to die," I said as we reached the top of the track and it was now time to go down.
I gripped onto something tightly as we started to descend quite quickly if I might add.
There was lots of screaming and cheering. Terrance for one seemed to be on the edge of his seat as he leaned forward with his hand in the air screaming 'woooooo!!!', me on the other hand, I sank so far back in my seat with wide eyes as I griped anything I could.
The rollercoaster descended at a very fast speed as it climbed the tracks once more.
My heart was beating a thousand miles per second.
Terrance looked so eager for it to descend height once more."Hey, nothing bad will happen, it's all fun, live a little," he told me with a reassuring smile as he held my hand that was closer to him.
We declined height once more at full speed causing Terrance to throw his hands carrying my hand along with him. My other hand was busy gripping whatever I could while my face definitely held a pained expression. All I could see was the ground and apparently, it seemed as if we were heading straight for it, this indeed got an ear-piercing scream from me. But of course, we didn't hit the ground.
Getting out of that ride was even worse than the ride. My legs felt like they didn't belong to me when I tried to walk. Terrance had to help me out, I'm glad he found me humorous as he helped me out and basically carried me over to a tent that was set up and sat me down.
"I'll be back don't move." He said as he walked deeper into the tent.
I sat there trying to get my composer back. He soon came back with a slight smile on his face.
He held three pictures towards me before he started to laugh. I looked at him amused before I looked down at the pictures.
My mouth instantly fell open. They were truly horrible, for him not so much but for me it totally was. In the first one, my eyes were basically popping out of my head, in the second one I was biting my bottom lip while Terrance held my hand in the air, I honestly don't remember doing that, and in the last on my face looked so pained with wide eyes and my mouth creased downwards.
"We're not keeping those, they look awful."
"No, you look awful, Of course, we are," he said as he snatched them out my hand
"Their memories." He stated once more while laughing before he tried to help me to stand but it wasn't necessary since my feet no longer felt like jelly.Don't forget to vote, comment and share the link of my story/ stories to fellow Wattpad members.
