Chapter 40

"Ang sarap nga." I said while eating lomi.

"I told you." Nagtaas-baba pa ang kilay niya because he proved himself right.

"Pero napakadami nito, Yuji. I don't think na mauubos ko." I stated the obvious. Paano ba naman kasi, he ordered the special lomi served in a big bowl so I don't think that I can finish it.

"We can take that out naman. Just eat whatever you can take." He answered. I stayed quiet after that and continued to eat.

Honestly speaking, the sauce doesn't have a taste and I don't really know why but I am enjoying this despite knowing that the taste only came once Yuji poured soy sauce on this one. The sauce is also sticky which makes it different as compared to other noodles that I've tried before.

"Akala ko ba hindi mo mauubos?" Yuji asked and that's the only time that I've noticed that I am nearly finish.

"Ang sarap, Yuji. And the fact na madaming nilagay na toppings should make me full by now but I really can't stop eating."

"I'm happy to see you enjoying your food." He smiled at me and I swear, I would love to see that smile forever.

'Kaso, hindi ka sigurado kung makikita mo pa ulit 'yan.'

I shook my head because of that thought.

"Okay ka lang?" He asked. Siguro, iniisip na nitong sobrang weird ko dahil madalas niya na akong nakikitang umiiling.

"Oo naman. Don't mind me."

I just want to enjoy my present with him. Ayoko munang isipin kung anong mangyayari dahil sigurado akong malulungkot lang kaming dalawa.

Pagkatapos naming kumain ay muli kaming bumiyahe para dumiretso na sa vacation house nila.

"Hindi ka pa inaantok?" he asked while driving.

"Inaantok na but I'm okay. Ayaw ko namang mag-isa ka lang na gising." I answered.

"Pagdating natin doon, we'll rest. Bukas na lang natin gawin 'yung mga activities." I am enjoying what we have right now. Para ko siyang boyfriend na walang ibang gustong gawin kundi mapasaya ako o kung anong makakabuti sa akin.

"Yuji, you confessed to me indirectly, right?" Hindi ko na napigilang itanong. I want an assurance na tama ang naintindihan ko sa sinabi niya sa akin kanina.

"Enzo, I love you. If this is what you want to hear, I want you to be mine. Masaya ako kasi masaya tayong dalawa. Masaya akong magkasama tayo." My heart feels so good right now. Pakiramdam ko, ito na 'yung kagaya sa mga nababasa ko bago sila magkaboyfriend.

"And I admitted a while ago, right?" I reminded him. "So, does it make the two of us official?"

He suddenly stopped the car and looked at me directly in the eyes.

"Enzo, I badly want it to happen. I badly want you to be mine. I badly want to take care of you." His tears fell once again. "But I can't, Enzo. Hindi ako malakas para ipaglaban ka pa ulit. Gustong-gusto ko pero ayaw kong itali ka sa isang relasyong walang kasiguraduhan."

"Yuji, gusto ko. Kahit walang kasiguraduhan, tanggap ko."

"Please, Enzo. You're making it hard for me to leave."

"Kahit hanggang umalis ka na lang, Yuji. Kahit hanggang doon lang, hayaan mo akong mahalin kita."
