After they finished their drinks and having spoken for a short amount of time, they decided to hang out for the day. Choosing to go to the theme park.

When they arrived, Hyuck instantly let his childish sideshow. His personality bubbling in all the right ways. He smiled and giggled the whole day. All Mark could do was smile and stare at the boy who danced and ran about in front of him.

His happiness was so contagious that everyone who saw the boy couldn't help but let even the smallest smile show.

By the time the park was closing, Hyuck had dragged Mark onto every roller coaster, fairground ride and convinced him to play every game there was. Hyuck skipped out of the parks gates with a giant lion plushie the older had won from a game of tin can alley.

Mark drove the younger home, who insisted on sitting in the back of the car with the plushie so it could wear a seatbelt.

In the short amount of time it took them to get from the park to Hyuck's house, the boy had fallen asleep with his head resting against the plushies shoulder.

When Mark stopped the car, he looked in the back to find the lion that had a seatbelt strapped across its chest and a small boy snuggled into it.

He smiled unknowingly while shaking the younger awake slightly.

Hyuck looked around the car with a confused expression, his face had red crease marks and his hair was sticking up all over the shot. Mark couldn't help but allow his smile to grow.

"you're home Hyuck, do you want me to carry your lion for you?" the older asked as he held the plushie, watching the boy stumble out of the car.

"huh? Right, firstly his name is Minhyung and secondly, it's okay, I've got him, but thanks for offering" Hyuck smiled, taking the plushie from the older and dragging it into the apartment building.

Mark watched the younger waddle into the lit building. Hyuck said hello to an old lady who was arriving at the same time as him, laughing and chatting away to her while climbing into the lift.

Mark left with the biggest smile. His heart beating harder than it had for a long time. Hyuck knew that Mark's Korean name was Minhyung and the older almost felt honoured to have a lion plushie named after him.

Once Mark arrived home, he had a shower and put some sweatpants and a hoodie on before climbing into his bed.

The first thing he did after that was check his phone for the first time since dropping Hyuck home.
