jongho looked up from his phone as he heard loud chatter of the boys, signalling that they've return from p.e.

"it wasn't that fun because jongho wasn't playing" jisung commented before taking a seat at his place. jongho looked at him.

"we were playing basketball, as usual. his team lost because you weren't there ahah" felix giggled. jongho shook his head at jisung who was pouting.

"are you good now?" felix asked. jongho blinked. his thoughts drifted to the scene earlier, before smiling.

"i'm fine now"

hyunjin blinked repeatedly at the boy in front of him. "wow okay that was fast recovery"

hyunjin dug into his bag to get his phone before putting it onto his desk. jongho saw that before remembering hyejin's message.

he tapped on hyunjin's desk to gain his attention. "hyejin said she wants her phone back" jongho informed, loud enough for just hyunjin to hear, making the boy frown.

"her phone??" hyunjin uttered before eyeing the phone on his desk before shutting his eyes and doing a facepalm. jongho stared at him intently.

yes. he just realised that it wasn't his phone. he immediately grabbed the phone to type a quick message, not before witnessing tons of missed calls and messages from 'stupid hyun'.

just as he was about to type a message, the screen went dim. a notification popped up saying, '10% power left' causing him to groan before flipping the phone on the desk.

jongho stared blankly at his stressed friend.

hyunjin didn't want to go to her class as he was lazy. and he certainly didn't want to waste that 10% power of the only phone he had with him, so he came up with a brilliant idea.

"hey jongho"

jongho nodded, telling him to proceed.

"text my number and say, 'just wait till school's over'" hyunjin grinned at his friend, with googly eyes.

jongho frowned. "uhh i don't get it..?" the tall boy groaned.

"the thing is, i have her phone and she has mine. and her phone here is dying so could you please do as i say?" hyunjin pleaded.

jongho stared at him, slowly processing his words before agreeing.

at that, he grinned, patting his friend's shoulder. "thanks bro"
