night came, the two siblings were in the living room after dinner because hyunjin promised to help hyejin with her maths exercises. soon enough, hyunjin groaned seeing the word differentiation before sending glares to the said question. hyejin giggled.

"i hate this shit. it gets complicated everytime i see a different question!" he whined. "even i had jongho the genius to tutor me. sorry sis, but you're on your own this time" he grumbled before lying flat onto the soft carpet beneath them.

hyejin pouted at his words. what could she possibly do when even the hwang hyunjin himself had problems with differentiation. sure her friends always called her the genius one in their grade but then again, she still lack at some parts in academic.

hyejin sighed.

just as she was about to give up and close the book shut, hyunjin immediately sat up, startling the girl in front of him. the boy's eyes shined as an idea popped in his mind.

"i could ask jongho to tutor you!"

her eyes widened.

"hell no!!"

hyunjin frowned. "why not?!"

"i don't want to bother him, okay? we aren't even that close.." she replied, lowering her head. somehow, the image of jisu clinging onto jongho flashed in her mind. she frowned.

"nah, he'll agree. trust me. you don't wanna miss the chance of being tutored by the school's maths expert, do you?" hyunjin questioned.

hyejin sighed before slightly rolling her eyes.

"ugh whatever"
