"hyejin, you don't have to go to school today" hyunjin said, concern laced in his voice. hyejin shot him an assuring smile.

"education is still very important, hyun"

"well, yes. but look at you! and those kids at school! let's wait until it's quieter, alright?" hyunjin plead.

hyejin gave his shoulder a pat as they both walked out of their home. "if i don't show up, they're gonna say i'm a coward and i would like to believe that i am not"

hyunjin opened his mouth to protest but found no words to speak. he heaved out a heavy sigh.

"fine. but always have me or jeongin or minhee or seungmin or jisung or felix or jongho with you at all times! you got that??" he pointed his finger at her in demand. the girl lightly swatted his hand away from her face.

"i will i will. now, come on. we'll be late for school"

the two then made their way towards school. hyunjin grabbed her hand in his and quickened their pace as soon as they stepped into the hallway filled with students. of course, the unpleasant noise and harsh words were thrown at a certain hwang.

hyunjin proceeded to pull his sister away from them and head straight to her class. the boy even walked her towarda her seat, earning weird glances from hyejin's classmates.

"ugh hyunjin you don't have to walk me all the way in class.." hyejin mumbled, loud enough for only her brother to hear. jeongin giggled at hyejin's embarrassed expression.

"nuh uh. i'm making sure you're all fine. innie, keep an eye on her alright?" hyunjin asked, sounding more like a demand.

"ay ay captain!" jeongin exclaimed, playfully doing a salute gesture at his hyung.

"good" hyunjin pat his head before walking away.

hyejin looked at jeongin innocently and before she knew it, she was pulled into a tight embrace.

"don't scare me like that ever again, jinnie!" the boy choked out. he was quietly sobbing. hyejin smiled sadly.

"sorry, innie.." she slowly replied, patting the boy's back in attempt to comfort him.

suddenly, the back door bursted open and in came a wide-eyed minhee. a relieved smile plastered on her face.

"hyejinnie!!!"
