"sis are you sure you're okay??" hyunjin shot hyejin a worried look.it was monday. three days had passed since that night. hyejin and hyunjin was walking to school together that morning. which was rare.
hyunjin insisted though because he was worried for his sister.
he found out what happened that night and all he could ever think of was hyejin's well-being. he didn't talk to anyone else about it. not even jisu and jongho.
he couldn't be mad at jisu for some reason. and it's totally not jongho's fault. hyunjin didn't know what to feel or who to blame, but he sure knew that he should watch over his little sister.
hyejin nudged his shoulder playfully. "i'm alright, hyun. stop worrying"
the boy pouted. "how can i not worry about you? you're the only left besides mom.." he mumbled.
hyejin gave him a look. hyunjin remained pouting, eyes filled with tears that were threatening to fall.
hyejin sighed. her brother's such a crybaby. she went to hug hyunjin from the side, resting her head onto his shoulder.
"i'm really fine, hyun. i'm sorry i make you worry all the time.."
hyunjin hugged her back slightly, giving her back a light squeeze.
"it's my job to worry about you, hyejinnie"
the two siblings pulled away, shooting each other their smiles before heading towards the lockers with arms clinging to one another.
they both went towards their own lockers to grab the stuff needed for the first class, before walking towards hyejin's class side by side.
however, halfway through, they halted their steps. an all too familiar figure stood before them in the hallway.
it was jongho.
the latter offered them a small smile. hyejin went stiff. hyunjin turned expressionless.
after a while, hyunjin lightly pushed hyejin aside, telling her to get to her class, which she obeyed almost instantly, leaving the two friends facing each other.
luckily, the hallway was empty as it was still quite early. hyunjin stepped closer towards jongho. face remained stoic. jongho fiddled wih his hands nervously.
"i've heard" hyunjin started.
jongho looked down, ashamed of himself for some reason. "i'm sorry.."
"i totally understand your situation but for it to happen in front of hyejin? not cool"
hyunjin stepped even closer.
"i know very well that you know she has feelings for you, i'm not dumb"
hyunjin backed away from his friend.
"the least you can do is not lead her on if you don't feel the same"
with that hyunjin stepped aside and made his way towards hyejin's class to give her her lunch box that was in his bag, leaving jongho all alone standing in the middle of the hallway.
i apologize for my fangirling behaviour ;-; so here's another updatebruhh i kinda want hyunjin as my older brother :')
