jisu marched down the hall a bit furious and went to the familiar empty class she used to hang with her friends. her eyes immediately spotted the one person she had been looking for and instantly pulled her up by the collar, much to her surprise.

"ryujin what the fuck?!" the girl yelled. ryujin blinked nervously, slowly pulling her shirt from the elder's grasp.

"unnie, what-"

"i know it was you. i told you because i trust you! why the hell did you spread it to the whole school!" jisu yelled furiously, tears were already pricking at the corner of her eyes.

ryujin gulped nervously. "i just- s-she was in between jongho and you! i was just doing you a favor.."

jisu widened her eyes. the girl scoffed in disbelief, her head hung low. jisu went silent for a moment.

"i'm not that desperate.. you know that" jisu spoke, coming out more like a whisper but was enough for the younger to hear. a pang of guilt rushed through ryujin's body.

jisu's eyes made contact with ryujin's own. "i'd rather protect my friendship with yeji than my crush on some guy"

the younger fiddled with her fingers nervously.

"i don't appreciate what you did" with that, jisu left the room leaving ryujin all alone bundled up with her own thoughts.

-

"hyunjin.."

the said boy turned around and was met with jisu, much to his surprise.

"oh jisu? is there anything you need?" the boy asked curiously. jisu bit her lip nervously.

"uh it was me-"

"hyunjin sunbae!" a voice cut her off from the distance. the two glanced at the source and was surprised to see their junior ryujin.

jisu eyed the approaching girl curiously. hyunjin on the other hand looked at her in confusion.

"i spread the rumor about your sister. i'm terribly sorry" ryujin said, bowing 90 degree at the dumbfounded boy.

"YOU WHAT?!" another voice interfered their talk. hyunjin glanced to his side and there stood a furious jisung.

ryujin slightly lifted her body with a guilty look on her face. "jisu unnie told me because she trusted me, but i broke it. i'm really sorry. i had no rights to spread or even talk about something i barely know.." the girl explained, letting her head hung low in shame.

jisung was about to lunge at the junior but hyunjin managed to stop him in time. hyunjin gave him a look of 'stay out of it' before returning her attention back towards the fidgeting girl in front of him. he let out sigh.

"the damage had been done and there's no way we can shut people's mouth now" hyunjin said, his tone was stern but soon turned softer. "however, i appreciate you coming clean about it. thank you"

ryujin slowly looked up.

"but please apologize to hyejin. she's the one suffering"

ryujin blinked before nodding her head, understanding. "i will"

at that, hyunjin offered her a warm smile, his dimples showing. "well, see you guys" he said before pulling an annoyed jisung away from the two girls hurriedly.

ryujin nervously turned to jisu, who stood there zoning out. "unnie.. i'm sorry"

jisu glanced at the younger briefly before patting her shoulder. "it's alright. thank you for that by the way"

ryujin gave her a small smile. "well, knowing you, you would admit it as your fault to cover me up. and i don't want that"

jisu chuckled. "come on, let's go eat"
