it's been a week and within that week, jongho had tutored hyejin for about three times because he was busy preparing for the school festival. she didn't mind though. it's not like she could focus entirely during those tutorings anyway.

how can she focus when the one tutoring her was her crush?

jongho would always sit very close to her, saying he needed to see how she solve the questions. little did he knew, his actions only caused her heart to panic within each second. she had a very hard time controlling her breath.

'i need to move on' she thought. 'he's with jisu unnie'

just as she was about to sigh, she heard her name being called.

"hyejin!"

she looked up to the front and saw beomgyu, who was sitting at the front, gesturing her towards the door. she blinked in confusion before making her way towards the front.

stepping out, she was met with the one and only choi jongho himself. he was smiling, a file in his hand.

"hey" he greeted.

"oh hey.. what is it?" she questioned, a puzzled look on her face.

"whoa am i not allowed to see my favourite little sister?" he giggled, contrasting to hyejin, who was frowning.

'congratulations, hyejin. you just got sister-zoned. great'

"you good?" the boy asked, concerned after seeing her change in expression.

she blinked away the frown before forcing a smile. "yeah i'm good"

he smiled before handing her the file. "here are some of my exercises from last year. thought it might help you"

hyejin accepted it. she smiled wider.

"thanks sunbae!"

jongho chuckled before ruffling her hair. he gestured her to get back in her class while exchanging small waves.

jongho let out a sigh as soon as she was out of sight.

the girl was smiling, sure. but it was obvious that it was a fake one. he had hurt her feelings. he hated that her fake smile was because of him. but what could he possibly say?

the boy was confused after all.

not related to ateez but im sad 🥺 got7 cancelled the concert here, unlike other countries that were postponed.. we've been waiting for the boys for 3 years and here we are. cancelled ㅠㅠ
